So if I were to use my laptop to download my favorite tv shows and then watch them on my tv via a S-Video cable there would be a lag between the voice/video. I would have noticed that when I'm using my computer to do other things at the same time(like surfing the internet) the lag increases. I would use Windows Media Player. Would there be any way to stop the lag via a different media player or do I just have to buy more ram for my computer? All of this is hypothetical, of course.

\the vlc player is a very good alternative for a media player if you want to try a diffrent one. there is also a function that allows you to move the sound forward or backwards to fix lag problems.

any reasonably current laptop should be able to play SD-rez divx with out any problems. does the problem exist if you are not using the tv out? it may be that your video card isnt really happy about dual-heading tho... vlc probably won't help then, i think that it's used to fix encoding lag problems, right?

are you using overlay or VMR7 or VMR9? overlay is the least resource hungry usually.

divx or another codec?

try media player classic, less resource hungry maybe.

Some girls moans and screams just don't sync up with their lip movements. It's not your PC.
