As you said, hate the turn bet. I can't properly answer this without knowing your own image. If he perceives you as someone who likes to bluff with air, it increases the chance this is a bluff-raise on the river. If he has a hand here that beats you, he has to be pretty sure you're going to bet out the river.
Killrus
maybe,.,.,..just maybe he has 9 with a smaller kicker?

villian is pretty aggressive but you have to be right a lot of the time to make the call.

I think he shows up with a boat or straight to much to call here.
Royal_Tour
i dont know thos pt stats

but, it def sucks seeing that 9 if villain flopped the straight

but this is probably 9,10 or 9,J

so i call

if ur villain, its easy to put hero on AK or KQ here.

i think if villain is bad enough he holds J,9 or 9,10 in spots like this.

i cant see him check calling the entire way with K,9 or Q,9

bet the flop, all day everyday, since you didn't don't bet the turn

as played river is a fold vs most villians

really?

i have trouble putting this villain on a hand that makes sense to check the river after smooth calling the turn.

you have to be right more than 50% of the time, and people don't check raise the river with less than a straight very often IMHO

i agree

i don't think we see a 9 here too often from someone competent as they would more than likely fold the turn unless of course the river 9 boats em up.

I'm not sure we're necessarily dealing with someone competent, here so I wouldn't rule out a lone 9 such as J9 or 910 completely. The river raise definitely feels like a strong raise and not a bluff - it is possible that the villain flopped a set. I think that a straight bets out on the turn, trying to get at least SOME value, but this is a tough spot to be in. He probably has a boat, so I would fold. Also, I usually play tournaments so I'm pretty lost here.

Results??
