What do you guys think of how I played this? I figured there was a good possibility he had the set but I had just sat down and didnt have a good read on the player yet. Most weak players will play an overpair or top pair the same way in 1/2. I figured my only play on the turn was push or fold.

In situations like that, i don't really think it matters what/when you bet, pretty much all of the time all the money is going in the middle, it's unavoidable.

I'm not folding top two pair in that situation either.

By the time you figured out you were behind a set, you were committed. This hand almost plays itself.

Surprised nobody said this yet, but convert your hand and dont post results. This way, other fcp'ers can help you figure out this hand as if they were playing it themselves.

Meh. No. There's not a lot of strat here. He has to get it in. The only hand in the universe he realistically has to worry about is a set of fours, and it was there.

Yeah its really a weak rainbow uncoordinated board. I'm never dumping this hand here. If he has a set, then so be it.

THAT IS WHY WE HAVE A BAD BEAT FORUM. WE ARE NOT HERE FOR PITY OR SYMPATHY IN A STRATEGY FORUM. WE HAVE ALL BEEN 3 OUTED, 1 OUTED, RUNNER RUNNERED. GET USED TO IT IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE PLAYING POKER WITH ANY LEVEL OF SERIOUSNESS AND FREQUENCY.

Sorry, I just like that quote. Convert your hands, don't post results, etc.

On an "actual" strategy note, is T8 sooted a raise from utg?
