this forum post is mainly directed to Mr. Daniel Negreanu but anyone else feel free to respond as well. I was just wondering what books (if any) you have read and if you do or did read poker books what were/are the best ones you've read? Recently i bought Cloutier's and McEvoy's "Championship No-Limit & Pot Limit Hold'em" and so far the boook has a lot of useful information. Any response would be greatly appreciated. By the way, your best jersery is no other than #19 Stevey Y., Wings are (were...lol) my team.

Peace,

haven't read everything, but I can recommend the following books:

1. Theory of Poker- by David Sklansky
2. Super System- the second edition will be out soon
3. Roy Cooke's Collection- great limit hold'em advice
4. 7 Card Stud- by Konstantin Othmer (endorsed by Huck Seed)

I'd have to strongly disagree with that. The old site's main page showed Daniel wearing an old school Penguins jersey and I'd have to say that was best. I think i''ve also seen him with a #27 Alexi Kovalev jersey but I can't recall if it was a pens jersey or not. Either way Kovi is a awesome playa.

###UPDATE###

I found the kovi jersey

Thats old school and its soooo cool.

Sorry that was lame but it is a sweet jersey.

I agree with the Yzerman jersey as well! And the Grand Rapids Griffins jersey I have seen a few times.

My poker book collection:

Super System (must have)
The Real Deal (decent but not a lot of info, good read though)
Theory of Poker ( good, excellent, but you have to read it a couple times to grasp all the concepts IMHO)
Small Stakes Hold 'em (Just bought it last night)
Limit Hold Em for Advance Players (I like it, helped me out a great deal)
Positively Fifth Street (bought it last night after reading Daniel's review)
Killer Online Poker (gift, but has some interesting parts)
Doyle's Book I can't remember the name of off hand, it has poker stories, pretty good rad.

super system is by far the biggest book i've ever owned and is a bomb book to have..can't wait for SS2

First of all...the best jersey in Dan's collection is Wayne Gretzky's! There is a reason why they call him the GREAT One! Yzerman was good (It hurts me to say that, as I am a Blackhawk fan), but you can't take the "Great" away from Gretzky.

Now back to this topic...

I agree with two of Dan's choices. Theory of Poker and SupeSystem are great reads. I have not read the other two, but I think I will pick them up. I play alot of stud and really enjoy Roy Cooke's articles in CardPlayer.

BRING BACK THE NHL!!!!
