You could definitely raise that hand preflop.

Pot the flop. Don't get cute with the small bet.

You have an extremely easy repot now. Almost every one of your outs is to the nuts (only the 7s, 9s and Ts aren't nut outs), and you even have the backdoor club draw as well.

This is a monster draw. Get as much money in as quickly as possible.

You've got naked Q9 killed right now. Like 70/30, maybe better. You definitely want to get it in. Also, I don't mind the weak lead if it's to induce the naked straight to raise instead of waiting for a safe turn. I think that's actually better than potting. Your goal's definitely to get as much money in as possible on the flop though.

At 10c/25c you don't often get people waiting for safe cards. We are almost always getting raised by the naked straight.

Had we potted the flop we would be able to get a large % of our stack in the pot now. As it is, we can only get something like $11 in. It would suck to get $11 in now, and have to put the rest in on the turn when we are behind.

I don't mind a less than pot bet on flop but definitely not half pot. I'd probably bet 1$.

At this level they always take it as a sign of weakness if you don't pot it.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't calculate the pot size properly. I was thinking we could get $20 in with a repot, but since this keeps us from doing that, I agree that leading full pot is better. And I did play 700 hands of 0.10/0.25, oh... a month ago, so I'm not completely lost as to how the games play.
