I never posted the story about the, uhhh, working girl who both saw me pull the money out of my pocket and saw me pass out from drinking too much with Zach, yet didn't take a dollar. Moral of the story...

Vegas rules.

Now I'm cringing ... the holes all sealed up, yet?

BTW, I often wonder about how to manage poker money for live play, especially when I travel, but also at home. Anything can happen:

robbery
mislocation
theft in the hotel (I mean, you can't take it to the pool with you)
car accident and you're knocked out or something

There should be some sort of "bank" that would allow you to access your money at any casino in the country. Hmmm, is there? Wait, is this some kind of a business opportunity?

Anyway, my wife has a big mouth and I also worry about her talking about my play ... someone I don't want to have know about it might decide the house is an easy target, ala Dave N. I don't want that ...

The first night I ever went to an underground game here, the guy who ran it gave me a ride home at the end of the night. He told me that all of the local games had been getting robbed lately and that this gang robbing the players had been pretty non-violent at first but started pistol-whipping people lately. I decided not to go back, but instead started my own game.

Our first idea was to do a completely cash-free game. We set up a computer with PokerStars and players transferred money to us for their buy in. At the end of the night, we transferred it back to them. We put the word out that cash was not even allowed in the room. The idea lasted until the second person arrived and didn't have an online account, but brought cash with him. We never did another transfer, LOL.

I still think that idea's a good one, though.

This is one of the reasons I quit my original game. It was made up of drugged out racists with guns who wouldn't have gone down without a fight to the armed Laotian gang robbing the locals games. Meanwhile, my philosophy is and was, take my money, take my credit card, I'll call you a cab and recommend some nice places to spend my cash, pleasegoddontshootme.

I should've just parked my ass at the Rio playing 2/5 PLO in July. 0.10/0.25 Omaha is tougher on-line.

Wow. The PLO players at the lower stakes are possibly the stupidest players I've ever played against.

Here's an example:

6 max PLO .25/.50 on FT
I have KQ95 ds and pot from the button. The BB and a limper call.

The flop comes down QJ5r, they check to me and I pot it. The limper calls.
Turn is a T, putting 2 diamonds out there (I don't have diamonds).
The limper checks so I pot it again. He calls.
The river is the 5d, completing the flush and filling me up.
He checks, I bet like 90% of the pot and he calls.

He shows down J442 with J high diamonds.

That's pretty bad. It looks like I'm playing in the wrong games, as usual.

The hand that sticks in my mind from the Rio is this guy putting in ~$1,500 in on the flop with unimproved AAxx.

I can't quite remember the action. I think the AA bet, a full wrap raised, a third guy reraised with top two pair and the second-nut flush draw, the AA flat called, the wrap pushed, the two-pair folded, and the AA called.

Now it turns out that he makes a "good" call here for the actual hand he's against, but it's seems pretty ****ing reckless.

First of all, it's .25/.50 PLO and I do get more frustrated with taking beats there than I do putting in over 1K in a live game. I am amused by that myself.

When I go 5 bets on a flop ($33 PLO sng) to get it AI on the flop of AcKx7c and I have KK93 with nut clubs and I'm against an idiot with AJT5 with the JT5ccc, yeah, I'll go a little nuts when I lose a pot where I get someone's money in as an 87% favorite in PLO. Yeah, I was pissed after that.

I'd love for Pete to be the manager for Barry Bonds. I think he'd have something to say about him going into the homerun trot every time he hits the ball more than 300 feet.

I tilted hardcore today playing 25 max and shoved four hands in a row preflop and was called everytime - each time I had the best hand preflop - and each and every time I lost. And this was only after I got Aces cracked by A2 AIPF when the faggot flops a wheel.

As much as I hate defending a bad beat post...

I couldn't disagree with this statement more. Poker doesn't know you're tilting or that you played the hand bad, the cards just play how they play and if you get all in 55%-45% or whatever it really doesn't matter how you played the hand.

I mean obviously you know that, but thinking he should lose because he was tilting is illogical and a poor way to approach poker. If you use this thought process in reverse it leads to tilt issues because "I played the hand perfect and X happened."

X happens.

The cards don't give a damn, they just come out however the hell they please.

I guess it's just the "you should lose" statement that bothers me so much. No he shouldn't, he should win right? He was called by an inferior hand...
