Wow. The PLO players at the lower stakes are possibly the stupidest players I've ever played against.
Here's an example:
6 max PLO .25/.50 on FT
I have KQ95 ds and pot from the button. The BB and a limper call.
The flop comes down QJ5r, they check to me and I pot it. The limper calls.
Turn is a T, putting 2 diamonds out there (I don't have diamonds).
The limper checks so I pot it again. He calls.
The river is the 5d, completing the flush and filling me up.
He checks, I bet like 90% of the pot and he calls.
He shows down J442 with J high diamonds.
That's pretty bad. It looks like I'm playing in the wrong games, as usual.
The hand that sticks in my mind from the Rio is this guy putting in ~$1,500 in on the flop with unimproved AAxx.
I can't quite remember the action. I think the AA bet, a full wrap raised, a third guy reraised with top two pair and the second-nut flush draw, the AA flat called, the wrap pushed, the two-pair folded, and the AA called.
Now it turns out that he makes a "good" call here for the actual hand he's against, but it's seems pretty ****ing reckless.
