Koop is great but he loves arguing lol
I agree it is bad etiquette to make Phil show his hand. But then again Phil calls people idiots and does tons of horrible etiquette maneuvers. He claimed he was going to have all this power in poker for god sakes.
I say make Phil show his hand but don't make the fish show his.
JRB doesn't want Phil to show. At all. He doesn't care what Phil has. He knows it's a busted draw. Everyone knows it's a busted draw.
Phil all but conceded the pot when he said "you got me" or something like that. Phil conceded the pot to JRB, but didn't muck.
What JRB did isn't bad etiquette, it's just not 'good' etiquette.

I do agree that the proper etiquette is the way Phil said it. That said, I've been in a position before where I call someone and they say, "Good call, you've got it" and then when I flip up my cards, they go, "Oh, I can beat that" and show theirs.
My general policy is that I don't do anything until their cards have been mucked and then I'm fine with showing.
EDIT: I will say that this has never been a problem with the more experienced players.

a semi bluff is when you bluff with a draw.
This is called turning my hand into a bluff since I can't see getting called and being ahead.

I'm raising bigger on the flop, I'd make it like $14-16 right there. Then if he calls I'm usually checking behind and surrendering the pot, but sometimes firing again, probably like a 65/35 ratio.

So since Monday afternoon my life has taken a turn for the worse. I had to drive up to my brother's new townhouse with my girlfriend to help his family move. This involved way too much of me lifting stuff since he's smaller and his family is a petite wife, a 3 yr old girl and a 9month old boy. So I liften heavy shit all day. Then my brother went to Boston Tuesday night for work, and his wife had work until this evening. So my girlfriend and I had to watch the 3 yr old girl and 9month old boy.
This would kind of suck regularly, but it was a new house, and neither parent was home the 1st day the children lived there. So basically I had a 3yd old laying here crying all day for 10 hours straight. Since it was their first day in the house, most things were unpacked, there was no cable, no internet. So it was straight Eileen and I entertaining and trying not to break up with each other because of the effing stress. I have gotten peed on, pooped on, cried on, climbed on, and ran out of all things entertaining to do.
The cable guy came 1 hour ago and I am no longer suicidal, but still severely depressed.
I'm never having children.
Luckily we are leaving today and I will be back to my regularly programmed poker all day, forums all day, and sleep when I want. Also, I have definitely eaten worse since being here because it's always a high stress situation and I'm too tired to cook and don't have enough time with these bastards running around.

For future reference. If you ever face any type of drug charge, including buying a girl you never met a drink at the bar, and you have a reason to not want your hard drive looked at, destroy it.
Search warrants are outrageous these days, and you are NOT innocent until proven guilty in the U.S. Instead, you are guilty until you shell out tens of thousands of dollars to a former DA who has to cut deals in order for you to pray for probation even though this is your first "offense" of anything ever, regardless of the truthfulness of said accusations.
Also, I have not smoked marijuana in over a year... I'm also kinda depressed about that too

I doubt we could agree on any buyout at this point.
I mean, really, what could I offer that he would accept?
He's gone from 15:1 with 17 (+/-) games to go.
He's now at 15:1 with 2 games to go.
He's 90% through his bet.
Offering anything on his part would be insane.
I'll just take my chances at this point.
