I'm spotting you guys a handicap as I'm down 15 lbs already.

And eff you, Acid Knight, for implying that I faked being miserable last night. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, and I'm including the week I spent in Vegas a few years ago with no money to gamble in that statement.

I'm down about 15-20 since September, but I was down a little more before the holiday "let's-all-bring-cookies-and-candy-and-snacks-and-shit-to-work" season rolled around.

I'm still in the market to lose about another 25 pounds, so let's have a little weightloss bet.

I'm really disappointed I haven't seen one HH posted.

It's all pretty standard LHE stuff:

Guy raises, Jay 3-bets, guy c/c the flop and turn with QTo (solid overcard draw) and spikes a T on the river to outdraw whatever Jay had.

Pretty much just that Jay chose poor bet sizing and was like always giving his opponents good odds to outdraw him. This probably had a lot to do with the fact that almost every pot he entered was one where he 3-bet or capped preflop.

I weighed like 230ish during high school and was still kind of pudgy. In college, I got to about 240, but put on a lot of muscle. Right now I'm hovering around 245-250ish and I'd be thrilled to weigh like 220.

I kind of think that the bet should be for everyone to lose at least like 15 pounds and have a set number of pounds to lose per week (2 pounds per week avg is actually a pretty good rate of loss) and then have a pool and the people who meet the goals chop up the money from the pool of those who didn't make their goals.

So, like if you want to lose 15 pounds, call it 16 and you get 8 weeks to get there or you lose the pool.
I'd want to lose 25, call it 26, so I'd have 13 weeks to make my goal or I lose my part of the pool.

What do you think? Sorry to jump on board and invite ourselves into your bet, Jay/Nate, but the more the merrier, right?

Super size me

Of course the weight gain might have more to do with the fact he was shoving 5000 calories into his mouth every day.

The sick thread in OT did this or at least talked about it, but I don't know how it turned out.

The sick thread in OT did this or at least talked about it, but I don't know how it turned out.

I just kind of came up with that because it seems to provide people with fairly even terms while allowing for people with different weights/goals to enter if they want. Also, it means that if everyone meets the goal, then I guess nobody gets paid, but hell, we'll all have lost a ton of weight if nobody gets paid, so it can't be all bad, right?

I need to lose weight.

I'm however not motivated enough to bet on it. I don't think my ego could take getting fatter and losing money.

I had a buddy in college who would eat two BK whoppers, large fries, large coke, large malt before we went to play basketball. Then we'd stop off and get something after we were done playing. He had an insane 2.5% body fat or something like that. Still does a couple decades later. It's not right.
