I have a similar problem kind of. Like I'll bang some slutty girls. But I'd never think about dating them, then with girls I actually want to hang out with and have a relationship, I don't even want to think about sex. Like they are too pure or something, what can I say I'm lame.

This is also the excuse I give to girls once I cheat on them.

Girl: You'd break up with me if I cheated on you, this is ridiculous. I can't believe you'd do this to me.
Me: That's different. I have sex when I'm drunk and it's just in the moment and a horrible drunken mistake, if you had sex with another guy it would mean that you liked them, completely different for me.

I'm a scumbag. Also, this discussion has 100% led to me being dumped anyways.

That's fine and probably appropriate for your relationships. But girls that end up dating me, fell for me because I was cocky and talked down to them, in a (not so) jokingly manner. Basically their attraction to me, besides my manly great looks, is my dickhead personality.

So that's who they like. How can they be so mad when that same dickhead personality rears its ugly head? Not that cheating is okay, just that it should be more acceptable for me, because it's obviously just physical and it would be very easy (and most practical) to never talk to the person I slept with again. The same wouldn't be the case for my girlfriends.

What I'm trying to say is...that you're a fucking girl.

There might be an export function. But you can always use the ALT-'print screen' to copy the window onto the clipboard. Start Paint. Paste the image in. Save it to a file.

Go to http://photobucket.com. Start an account. Upload your file.

If you right click the graph in the program, there's an option to save.

I'm aware it's bad. I hesitate to talk about spiritual struggles here, cause I'm pretty sure they're not really going to be understood, but I suppose some elaboration is necessary in this case.

As a Christian, it's ideal to cut out "lust". In the past, one suggestion from the community leaders has been to think of Christian girls as your sisters. Okay...so I cut that out. The problem is that I've made this terrible rationalization in my mind that non-Christian girls are available as "objects" in my head. This is not to say that I walk around with that mindset. It's actually quite rare that I think of sex with a girl during regular, everyday interaction. My hope is to cut all of it out, but you've got insight as to where I'm currently at.

OK, I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret about women. I may suck at poker, but I do know the shit out of women. Many, many, many women tend to confuse their intense negative and positive emotional responses when it comes to much of anything. But they really are fundamentally unable to segregate positive and negative when it comes to their emotions involving men; when a man is an *******, all they understand is that they are having a STRONG response. And nothing feels better to a woman than strong feelings. So they repeat the experience of strong feelings. They go back again and again.

That's why you see women with assholes.
That's why assholes treat women the way they do.
That is why Oprah has a show about women who don't understand why the men they love "seem" like assholes.

It's because they are like tskillz187.

As a "Christian" older than you (yeah, I know....), I'm not sure I approve of the tendency toward sexual repression that you're getting from your church. I understand the instruction to keep sexuality within the boundaries of marriage. But I think your "rationalization" is clearly a malignant outgrowth of the repression.

The last people secular people should listen to about Christianity is random groups of Christian zealots. It brings to mind my experience last night.

So I went to the caucus. And I'm a Republican. Reaganite to the soul. And we caucused. And we selected our delegates, our chair and we voted. Then we worked on the grassroots Republican planks. And the first five were "God in the Pledge," "God on the money," etc. etc. etc. Nary a word about national security, immigration, trade imbalance or the value of the dollar. Maybe the significance of the punishment is lost here. There are probably not many people who hate and mock minbet poker (and Zach for playing it) as Naismith and myself. The winner will surely rail the loser's table, mocking them incessantly as they get their sets drawn out on by gutshots and their bluffs are expertly called down by King high who was fishing for a pair with overcards and then decided to "keep us honest" because we didn't bet big enough.

To address his points:

God's Attitude Towards Gambling
The author suggests some verses from Isaiah where the people are glorifying luck over God. I don't believe that I do that.

1. Gambling is wrong because it is a disregard of responsible stewardship
Generally speaking, this is true. That's one reason why I avoid games where I don't have an edge. In poker, I have an edge that I've demonstrated over years. I've put the money that I've made to good use for my education, my family, and even Christian organizations.

2. Gambling is wrong because it involves a chance of gain at the expense and suffering of others
This is actually probably the toughest one. However, if you examine poker in a broader sense, it shares a lot of similarities with the stock market and entertainment industry. Life's full of gambling that people don't really recognize as "gambling".

3. Gambling is wrong because it is inconsistent with the work ethic of the Scripture
Since when haven't I "worked" to get better at poker or put in hours to play? The verses quoted almost give the impression that farming and working with your hands are the only honorable professions. Working is more broad than the article is suggesting.

4. Gambling is wrong because it is habit forming
Yes, it certainly can be. As I've talked about before though, I'm perfectly willing to give it up. Heck, I haven't even played in a week.

? ... (chuckling) You either have or you haven't.

Certainly it's a bad side effect, and it's something I'm trying to correct.

This "repressed" stance that I'm getting isn't just from church...this is from Christ: "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

As for the second comment, I haven't done the penis in vagina dance.

I agree 2 is the toughest but 4 is very true imo. 3 you are definitely right that you do work/study/practice to get better. 1 i don't really get but if you are putting money to good use then for sure you are making this one diminish as well. thanks for taking the time to read the link. i hope you don't feel that i was personally attacking you or your beliefs.
