Just played a really long HORSE/Razz session. Not profitable, but I feel like I gained a lot of experience.

I was thinking of changing my home game from a no-limit to a HORSE game. I'd really like to learn to play all of them, we'll see if anyone is interested.

been watching the HORSE championship on ESPN the past week, talk about getting F'd mentally...that's gotta be the most draining event.

poker tracker big bets are double the big blind. So in my case it is $1. I have been winning 20ish PTBB/100 hands or $20/100 hands. Since I get about 100 hands per hour it = $21ish dollars an hour.

Most of the time we deal in how much you are winning per 100 hands.

I think the reason I have had such good luck is focusing on playing well, and making sure I make the best possible choices when selecting a table, that is really the only thing I have changed. My sample size is pretty small so it will probably adjust itself with a bad run.

I'm not a pot smoking hippy graphic designer (at the very least, not a hippy graphic designer) - but I do web design and I play poker. Neither of which pay the bills so I guess I'm stuck with what I got. Besides, the Mac is the laptop and I haven't set up my PC yet...plus no internet at home (thank god for wireless...and my neighbor's open network!)

can someone summarize this game for me

Usually played limit, not NL
Best hand is A234 all different suits
Any badugi (all cards different suits) beats a non-badugi hand. If you have A234 and have 2 hearts and I have KQJT (no suits) then I win.
Pairs count against you.
A badugi is hard to come by and often a hand like A235 with 2 hearts will be good enough to win.
Your final hand is composed of your lowest card(s) that share neither a suit nor a rank with another card in your hand. A234hh is only a 3 card hand in which the highest heart is eliminated. Any 3 card hand beats any 2 card hand and any 4 card badugi beats any 3 card hand.

If any of this is wrong, it's becuase I've only played 3 times.
