If you play at UB are you playing against people on AP also?

No, but apparently there are plans to combine the player base eventually.

*************

People are soooooooooooooo misinformed and fatalistic about the AP situation.

AP is not going to shut down.

It doens't matter if they lose the business of 2p2ers and p5ers. Seriously.

Do you know how little they make off of these people? With the exception of the really high stakes players who put in a million hands, and there are only a few of them on the site to begin with.

People like me and 1000 others who simply grind 3/6 LHE with 30% rakeback, constantly reloading with bonus, trading our ARPs for cash, they make like no money off of. Literally.

They aren't going to lose the business of the fish, of the tards who don't read forums; they don't know about rakeback, they don't understand bonus, etc. They just play, and give their money away in rake. In the end, AP gets it all back anyways, even if they have bonus, rakeback, etc, cuz they'll just keep playing with it.

I'm also 99% sure this will never happen again on AP.

This was a singular rogue employee, by most accounts, and has nothing to do with AP as a whole. It's not like AP management is working on a team of people to play high stakes poker with superuser accounts to pad their pockets. I'm certain the access to these accounts is permanently gone right now.

Meanwhile, AP handled it retardedly, but meh. They sent out the whole HHs before anyone ever found out about the superuser thing. I have no idea why they'd give out the IP and email and all that crap, but whatever. They also tried to cover this up like anyone else would if the same thing happened. They would say they had no part in it, and try to sweep it under the rug to keep it as quiet as possible. But either way. They still handled it retardedly.

None of this affects my confidence in the company, or me leaving my entire roll on their site.
No_Neck
meh I am happy on Stars and Tilt... I know they don't have the bonuses but I don't play the volume of hands I use to. Stars $50 6 max you can always find a donkey spewing money in 30 minutes.

This is called switching your "main" girl. Don't worry, I'm sure the threesome is still in tact.

Now if you'll excuse me... I have business about a sniper rifle, a Mr. TB, and the world's best plastic surgeon.

I'm not sure I could switch my main girl from Bridget to anyone. She's slamming, imo. She was also born like 2 miles from where I live smile.gif

yeah I don't think I will ever feel comfortable putting money on there. I know Zach is sticking with them but I don't know if my fragile psyche can handle the .00000001% chance someone is cheating.

If anyone ever calls my bet with something suspicious I am going to think they are cheating and then tilt off my monies.

Why can't I just come up with this shit. I'd be super happy playing .5/1 LHE for the rest of my life and winning 40% of hands.
I heard the schmuck blew it by winning like 90% of hands and playing every single hand perfectly, like calling an all-in HU in a 1k MTT with Ten high against a 9 high flush draw. biggrin.gif

I just don't understand why someone would want to see the asian chicks mucked cards? also why did the dealer pull them out???

Well, my guess is that she showed them to the two guys next to her as she "lamented her bad luck" before mucking them. One of them noticed that she had a full house and decided to confirm that.

I am playing in a $2-$5 at the resorts in east chicago, and its one of the biggest VP$IP that I have seen. $5 family pots. raise to $18 and getting 4 callers $35 is getting 2 callers, $50 preflop is the only thing getting players out, position mean nothing to the table, it seam like a great game to be in, wild but not good i'm thinking. well i get no cards and not playing hand for 2 hours, I had JJ but hand to fold to a re-raise he had KK. I have TT and have $68 left and go all in and get call buy A3o. Has the game change and i just dont know it

AP is not shutting down. It's combining with UB soon. There will be an exodus of talented but paranoid midstakes forum players. In 3 months time AP will be the softest site around in addition to having the best bonuses.

Tonight, I'm re-opening my completely legal, rake-free poker game. I'm pretty pumped as the lineup of players this evening should be pretty craptastic.

There are a couple aspects to the previous sentence that are untrue.

This test teaches you how to play like a Nit... also, if you put in the exact same answers, only faster, you'll get a higher score...

And some of those questions you know what they're looking for despite the fact that you'd never actually play that way.

"Stacks are 10,000 each
You are on the button with KK and raise to 500
An egyptian mummy that has lain dormant for 1000 years reraises you to 2000 from the BB.
Do you:
A. Fold
B. Call
C. Raise to 5000
D. Raise all in"

Zach I woulda switched Crosby and Malkin in ur hockey bets w/ serge

As for hockey bets take the over in most all of pits games.
Zach6668
I was looking for some fair-ish bets. I mean, Crosby is obv gonna get more points than Sundin. Malkin and Sundin were even last year, so I just assume that Malkin will crush him this year. The goals thing was close from last year too, with Blake's 40, and Crosby's 39 or whatever he had, so I just went with those.

I took the over in the Pens game tonight vs the Devils. Dev's are usually low scoring, but their defense is worse this year than last, and their last game was 6-5 vs Atlanta, who suck balls.

I also took Chi -1.5 tonight.

Yeah, he either needs to flat-call PF or re-raise a bit bigger. I also don't think he needs to bet quite as big on the flop/turn/river. I mean, the board has some draws...but if that's why he was betting so big on the flop/turn, he doesn't need to bet that big on the river if you missed. I guess it depends on what he's put you on...small pair and a draw?

turn bet in my opinion should have been a little more I think.

flop seems fine to me.

turn i think he'd of bet harder though with a hand incase I had a hand like I did...unless of course his standard line here with overpair is bet/fold so he bets cheap..but i doubt that's the case.

no more analysis though, did a lot of 2+2, kinda...maybe i'll post more.

def not standard call though, lets just say i was on the level he was on, and then i went to the next, so I won. smile.gif

Ha. It's by no means a comprehensive quiz. It just means that I know a lot of "answers". Considering I've read every major poker book outside of the Cloutier/McEvoy series, have subscribed to CP for a few years, have been posting on here that long, and also watch 8 hours of poker TV per week...well, I definitely should know answers. Now whether I always apply them correctly...that's a matter of debate. I think I scored pretty highly on Harrington's 3rd book also (like I snuck into whatever the top tier was).

The evolution of tilt:

Start the day normally:
WoeUntoMe posts the big blind of $1

Stack off 100 real fast with set over set:
WoeUntoMe posts the big blind of $2

Up 300 real fast, then somehow down 300
WoeUntoMe posts the big blind of $4

KK loses to KK AIPF for a buyin:
WoeUntoMe posts the big blind of $20

Any of you guys do this as well, or am I one of the few who play 50/1 and 10/20 within the span of hours. Tskillz seems to thinks its not a winning strategy.

(Some background, I have played a bunch of 5/10 live, and some 10/20, so I am fairly comfortable with the stakes, just saying I'm not a small stakes only who is way out of his league, altough i probably am, but then again, out of all the stakes, the 10/20 seemed the softest, anyone else find this?)
