The 77 hand is awesome on sooo mnay lvlls, from him slowplayin himself into a mess to me thinking I caught him on turn when in realityy I'm down to an out. AKs hand is biggest pot I've taken down with ace high I think and there's almost no handdI beat on that final boaerd except for some crappy flush draw which is exactly what he had. Almost 300BB pot. Whats the deal with the Eagles cutting Trotter? Make some sense of this for me please....

I'm just guessing, but I think they are going to try and get younger. Trotter is a 1 dimensional LB, he can only stop the run and he's slow. He's much more of a vocal and inpirational leader than he is a go-to guy now.

The Eagles have a history of cutting vets as they are entering the twilight of their career, it happened to Hugh Douglas when he played a very similar role for the Eagles D as Trotter does. They want to get faster and younger. I'm assuming he hasn't been impressive and they have about 4 young LBs to look at and didn't know who to cut, so they got rid of a name and are going to develop youth.

The Eagles almost always develop their own LBs, Secondary, WRs, and QBs. They look for D-line and O-line help through free agency and early draft picks, but their LBs, secondary, and WRs are usually a bunch of 3rd+ rounders that they make learn the system and get on the field over time.

The LB and DL turnover for the Eagles is huge each year, I'm really not that worried about it, I don't think Trot is going to get too many offers in other places, as he is only effective on definite run plays, he's very susceptible to 1st and 2nd down passes.

That said I like Trot, I just don't think the Eagles will miss his on field prescence as much as they will miss him being a vocal leader. But it gets old having someone try and pump you up that you are better than.

I read that the Eagles are trying to convince Trot to retire. That doesnt make sense to me. Seems like there's something wrong with him that isn't getting out.

As far as the 50-50, my friends and I have a theory that the pro poker players made up the coin flip statistic in regards to pair vs overs to get us donks to overplay our pairs. As anyone with any real experience knows, a small pair can only beat two overs if the small pair hits a set, and you only hit a set one in 90 tries.
