I'm running out of movies I want to watch. Start suggesting stuff for me. Preferably more indy stuff that I'm not likely to've heard of, preferably at least a bit on the "edgy" side. I like pretty much every genre (save maybe horror), and I'm not opposed to subtitles. Shoot.

Herzog will also be an actor in "THE GRAND" coming out soon. It's a poker mockumentary and already earned the nickname "Spinal Felt".
And here a few random ones:

A big thumbs down on SLC Punk for me. It's a bland coming of age story, but with a "punk" attitude, or what ever. I didn't care fore it.
Did you ever watch In the company of Men?
Happiness is another I'd recomend. Definitely edge.
The Seventh Seal, if you've never seen, is great.
Requiem for A Dream (I also recomend the book and the author in general, Herbert Selby.. Last Exit to brooklyn is amazing)
The Seven Samuri is as good as advertised, IMO
Touch of Evil by Orson Wells. It has Charlton Heston as a Mexican Cop ( forced on by the stuidio) and it's STILL brilliant despite Heston.
Um... that's all I got. I just watched Hotel Rwanda. Pretty good, but everyone knows that. Nothing like a little genocide to put a little pep in the ole pecker.

Let me echo that "Run Lola Run" is excellent.
I tortured myself with "Gosford Park" because of all of the great reviews and awards and found it to be quite boring also.
Not quite sure how you feel about comedies, but some "somewhat unknown" ones that I like are "A Life Less Ordinary", "The Hudsucker Proxy", "I Heart Huckabees", "The Tao of Steve", and "Man of the Century".

An obscure good very indie movie that captures both a time period of awesome music as well as garage band is
Bandwagon. Good luck finding it though.
I love
Dead Again by Kevin Branagh. Lots of suspense, a homage to Alfred Hitchcock, Andy Garcia looks so mighty fine and Robin Williams adds some creepy comic relief.
Plain Clothes is a movie that you know is kind of stupid but you just can't help loving it. It's a dark high school comedy with lots of old B actors. Maybe this movie is so dear to me because Arliss Howard reads the ee cummings poem She Being Brand... it's hot!
Quirky, funny and irreverent
Real Men is one of those movies that seems completely silly while you are watching it and at the end you realize this is one smart and funny comedy. The chemistry between John Ritter and Jim Belushi is great. Oh... and the clowns... (you have to see it!)
Somewhere in Time is my all time favorite movie but I know, it is a chick flick. Romantic, sweet and endearing with a beautiful music score, this movie is all about love. However, the acting is good, Jane Seymour is beautiful, Christopher Reeves is so clumsily charming that even my step father liked the movie (his favorite movies are the Death Wish series). I recommend it but I know it is not for everyone.
Now I have never seen
Army Of Darkness but someone I know is trying to get me to see it... It looks stupid to me but when this guy was mentioning the movie to me someone in the next room overheard, came in and said... "I can't believe you haven't seen Army of Darkness" as if this is some great movie that everyone should see. It looks stupid to me but I thought I would throw it out there.

Um... Army of darkness is like a total guy movie.. You should only see it if you A) like horror movies and

like camp.. it's by sam raimi, and it's the sequel to Evil Dead 2 ( which is essentially a remake of evil dead 1) Evil Dead 2 is BRILLIANT in horror camp, and in how many cool shots and cool stuff goes on in the movie on such a low budget. It's hilarious, and way better than army of darkness, but AoD is funny, for certain.

That was a descent movie, kinda like Snatch, a Guy Ritchie film, worth watching, but I think I found it a little stretched out and got bored during part of it. I saw it a long time ago so I don’t remember too well but the movie starts with a little degenerate gambling which is always fun.
