I'm not crazy about the call of the repot preflop. AK97ds isn't a great hand, and is highly dominated by hands that repot preflop. Meh, it's probably fairly close. I think it's possible to get into a 'no fold' mentality preflop despite the price.

Flop and turn are obviously standard.

I am very tempted to call repots preflop with a wide range of hands because they are AAxx %99 of the time and they pot and repot flop no matter what.

So if we hit flop , we are playing for his stack while we lose only a few BBs if we miss.

+1...

...but...

This hand is borderline for calling the 3-bet. It's almost as bad a hand as we could have against a 3-bettor. Our cards have large gaps, and two of our cards (A and K) are likely dominated by a hand like AAxx, AKKQ, etc. So we are really playing with half-a-hand here. That being said, the stacks are deep enough to peel a flop IMO.

I don't think we stack him when we hit. In fact, we might not make much at all. Many players won't go broke with unimproved AAxx. With other hands I will always call here. I will call with a very large range, but having an uncoordinated hand with an ace OOP isn't particularly attractive. If this hand was ss rather than ds I would almost definitely be folding.

Yeah I agree that this is a call preflop but would be a fold with only one suit. Flop and turn are so standard that they're hardly worth mentioning.
