Ok, I know I should have folded this pre-flop: calling here was spewy. If I make the correct play preflop, then I'm not in this situation.

Assuming we get to the flop, what is your line?
1) Bet/fold as I did
2) Check/call
3) Check/raise
4) Check/fold

The opponents:
BB: Loose bomb by poker edge (59/12 through 17 hands). Aggressive when he's the preflop raiser, passive when he isn't.
MP: Semi-loose bomb by poker edge (36.6/10/1.7 through 100 hands)
Button: Semi-loose Bomb (44/19 through 138 hands). Having watched his play, I peg him as a good PLO player. Understands position, and understands Omaha hand values.

Well....smash always said that bottom set is for suckers.

I'm honestly lost here. Check/pray for free turn/fold is my thought.
Then again, what else could you have hoped to flop when calling with 4's and 7's?
I don't think I'm willing to stack off here, that's for sure.
Donk betting in to the raiser and button who you said is a solid player is almost like giving money away. As simo is becoming fond of saying to me - what are you trying to accomplish with this bet? No need to compound your preflop mistake by making more of them postflop. I stick with c/f.

LOL this hand was a good reminder as to why you should never play these sorts of hands (two small pair) *especially* OOP. These are the Omaha "trap" hands. They may look pretty, but they rarely hit (4 outs to a set) and when they hit, they're more likely to cost you money rather than win you the pot.

Unless you run like Simo and can flop quad KKKK more than once a day that is. (not that you get paid off, but that's another story)

horrendous call pf, you have essentially a trash hand

as played, it's fine

Flop's completely standard. Button looks to be solid and the only hands I can see him having that we beat are QJT9, JT98 or some kind of wrap. The fact that MP appears to be on a draw makes it less likely that button has the same cards however, and with all the jacks and nines being out, this is going to be a better set a ton. I honestly think you're drawing to one out about 60% of the time and you're flipping on most of the other possibilities. Definitely just get out of the hand here.

And OFC, fold preflop. icon_razz.gif
