Well, the first day of the month has sucked so far. My stats are awesome though, I think for me. 25/9/2.2 I'm trying to keep a few things in mind. 1) Punish limpers in position. 2) Don't flat call with sets. lol I really think the results will turn around if I stick to the gameplan. I've been raising a ton more than I'm used to, I'm just missing a lot of flops today and having to lay hands down.
25/9 is pretty good, and is a hell of a lot 'cleaner' than your 35/4 of old. I'd like to see it up at 28/15 consistently, but it's better to walk before you run

I like the two things you're keeping in mind. I really think 1 is absolutely vital and central to playing good aggressive PLO, and 2 is more of a secondary factor. Preflop you are looking to build value with good hands, and exploit weakness. There are relatively few hands I will limp with on the button behind a late position limper. Maybe some rainbow connectors like 4678, or things like As6s6x4x (although against tight blinds I might raise with both of those).
Because you're transitioning to a new style at the moment, I do think you need to be posting/discussing a lot of hands. It's very easy to drift the wrong side, and if you become overaggressive you can lose money extremely quickly.
Example from this morning:
Pre-flop: (
6 players) Hero is Button with 9

Q

3

Q
UTG folds,
UTG+1 raises to $2.25, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds, BB calls.
Flop: T

8

8

(
$9.25, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, CO checks,
Hero bets $6, BB calls,
2 folds.
Turn: T

(
$21.25, 2 players)
BB checks,
Hero bets $13,
BB raises to $26, Hero folds.
This is what can happen when you're overaggressive. My flop bet is ok IMO, but the turn bet is kinda spewy. This is probably a side effect of my NLHE 'upbringing'. The turn looked like a real scare card that would get an 8 to fold, but I think it's a better decision to check behind there.
IDK, I don't hate my play there, but it's obviously pretty marginal at best. Mostly, I'm posting this to illustrate how easy it can be to spew when trying to exploit weak play. I essentially lost $19 (3/5 of a buyin) where most players probably wouldn't lose a penny. A couple of overaggressive moves in the wrong spots and you can drop a couple of buyins almost without realising.
I'm not suggesting this will happen to you, it's just a case of forewarned is forearmed, so to speak.
Oh, and the 1st of the month for me:
282 hands, +$12.2. Didn't get any big hands, and only played for a little over an hour (played 7:45am to about 9am because it was the only time I would be free all day). I maybe misplayed a couple hands too, which .
I'm in London staying with a couple of friends until Monday, so won't be able to play much until Tuesday really. Really going to get some solid hours in over the next few weeks.
