convert your hands please sir

you definitely should have bet the river, if he had a made 8 he would have bet at some point since based on your board you can't possibly have better than a 9

I dont mind checking here since the vil is obv drawing at an 8 with all live cards. If I'm vil and I make an 8 I prob chck/rs here so a check isnt as bad play.

I even like checking 6th street. But that could get you in trouble. D-bet on 6th isn't bad. Check river unless you catch.

I'm good with the river check - what's he calling with that you are beating?

The only hands he calls with is a T or a weaker 9 than we have. He also calls anything lower than that, including 9's that beat us. Granted, the way this hand went, the only other thing he can catch is a made 8, but simply put, we don't get him off a hand that beats us, unless you know he folds a TON on the river. Check is good.

NO way I bet the river. He SHOULD only call you with a hand that has you beat.
