I bet we'll be 4 TD favorites. Washington @ Hawaii -28.
Hawaii 63 Washington 27.

We'll definitely send our Seniors out with a Bang! Washington will complete our season capping our record at 12-0.
And we'll have lots of energy/momentum carrying us to our bowl game.

Colt should have won the heisman last year based strictly on numbers but they seem to hand out the heisman before the season starts and the person who wins the heisman doesnt actually win it, they just didnt lose it by having a bad game. There is no way that troy smith should have won the heisman last year. They meaning the voters just seem to get it into their thick skulls that the winner has to come from a power confrence and so forth, which we all know is a complete joke. Anyway enough of my rant go COLT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. HE will throw for close to 70 td's including the bowl game.

yeah, we score 100 points vs the cupcakes, obv a shutout

then we blow out everybody else including BSU for the rest of the season, ship the WAC and BCS titles plz

you can call me optimistic icon_biggrin.gif

naw seriously, if all goes as planned, we should have a solid season and possibly go undefeated if we dont beat ourselves somewhere down the stretch. I know HI is better than the whole schedule, but weve been known to get too far ahead of ourselves and lose the game that were supposed to win by a landslide... but i hope thats not the case this year and I don't think J. Jones will let it happen with so much riding on the 07 season. The hawaii BSU game is going to be one to remember, and i wouldn't miss it for the world, playing at home is gonna be huge.

CB wins the heisman if he meets these goals
- carries HI to 12-0 reg season finish, good shot if 11-1, doubtful at 10-2, not happening if worse than 9-3
- gets anywhere near as many TD's as he did last season (58, but with one extra regular season game. another concern is that he won't play as much in the blowout games and get to rack up the stats)
- keeps up or improves his completion %, think it was like 65-70% last year, and we throw about average 40 times a game
- stays healthy all season long to keep him in contention

names everybody will know by end of season
-Jason Rivers WR, 3 tds and 300+ yards in 06 bowl game vs ASU
- Leon Jackson RB, transfer from Nebraska zomg the breakaway speed
- Devone Bess, WR incredible athleticism and 2 year starter
- Adam Leonard and Soloman Elimimian - possibly the best duo of inside LB's college ball has to offer

I'm one of the few HI fans in the midwest.. This is Colt's year for heisman. even though he deserved it last year..
byaaatch
As much as I would like to see colt win the heisman. He will have to put up totally crazy numbers to do it being that they do have a cup cake schedule.

My plan this season is to play the over every game. Kinda like I had played the over for boise state a few years back.

Not sure if I will be going to any of the games this year but we might try to get out there. Usually we just order the pay per view and bbq at home.

PPV/BBQ is awesome, but nothing beats the real deal. If you have the chance to make it out here or any of the mainland gamaes, get to it. PErsonally I think that Hawaii is one of the most exciting teams to watch. ALong with Louisville.
Jadaki
He didn't deserve the Heisman last year, he wasn't even the best player from a non-major program. You guys forget about Garrot Wolfe?

had no idea we had another Hawaii FCP'er in da house, how'z it going?

and whats the deal with not going to any of the games... your missing out on sooooooo much fun. You and your family/friends should make it a point to get out to atleast one of the games this year, id suggest the BSU game, its gonna get crazy.

see you around and hopefully at one of the games this year

btw ill be attending the road games at SJSU for sure and possibly UNLV, ROAD TRIP!!!

are we the only 3 from hawaii? Nah attending the games is such a hassle with packing the car up with everything for the game. I mean the last time me and my friends went we took 7 cases of beer with us. Of course not all of it got drank but hell. Plus too no sense mess around with possible DUI. But hell who knows.

I didnt forget abou garrot wolfe but colt was clearly better, 58 passing td's and 63 overall and nearly a 75% completion rating. This year he better win it if he puts up number like that again, but im sure it will go to a major confrence player, freakin rigged

Colt may and should prolly win the Heisman but i'm not so sure you guys are a lock for a BCS bowl, even if you go undefeated......the reason?....you're schedule is WEAK......i'm not dissing the team, just the schedule.......and we all know how much schedule means in college football.......anyway, just sharing some thoughts..........good luck to you guys!!

oh yeah, a quick question.......how do you guys think your team would play against someone like LSU or Florida???? I'm a UGA fan, so I obv think the SEC is the greatest conference in the world.LOL Anyway, it would be cool to see you guys play over here or us over there.......

I totally agree with you about our schedule. IT is WEAK. Our stupid AD is the f'n problem. COlt stayed for his Sr. year atleast get us a decent schedule.

Oh and BTW, be careful what you wish for. We open the 2008 season @ Florida. I wonder how thats going to be. Especially without Colt and with a back up QB named Graunke. I hope we're not 35pt. dogs.

I do hope colt brennan wins heisman this year... it is a longshot but if he puts up crazy numbers again then they should give it to him. With Hawaii's schedule it looks like they have a chance at going 11-1. No way they beat Boise State. sorry jxash but that is probably true.

NO worries bro. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We will beat BOise at home this year. BOise cant bring their smurf turf with them to Hawaii. So therefore, we will OBV PWN @home. WHen Boise beat us at home 2 years ago, it was a really good game and i think we ended up losing by a touchdown i think, but only b/c of our special teams ****ed up like 3x that game. I think our special teams has improved. SO we'll see what happens when that day comes.

I live in SF now and guaranteed i will be going to that game, I honestly think that there are more hawaii fans that attend that game than San Jose fans biggrin.gif

GGW, youll be glad to know that some of the guys I went tail gaiting with 2 years ago for this game started a brawl in the stands with about 20 ppl involved. These SJSU fans apparantly didnt like us cheering for our team and let us know it. One of our nut cases walked over to him and popped his and and his friends beer into the air that went flying, spiraling around, and spraying everybody within a 20 feet radius. Which later led to the nutcase unloading about 15 solid punches on this one guys dome and the big brawl which later ensued.

good times...

Ok thought you guys might want to know about this...

In week 1 last week the University of Washington played @ Syracuse and kicked their asses. It was quite a show. Final score was UW 42 - Syracuse 12. Why I bring this up you may ask....

In week 2 the WAC cinderella team from last year, the Boise State Brocos travel to Washington. And if you keep up with Hawaii football, you'll notice that these are the same 2 teams that Hawaii will be playing to end their season. It'll be an interesting game to watch. UW and Boise are really tough opponents for Hawaii I'm glad we have the advantage of playing them at home. If we had to go to their house, i'd be worried.

Love watching Hawaii play, always one of the last games on Saturday and a great way to close out a CFB day. They played very good and close game against Nevada this week. Looks like Hawaii has an excellent quarterback for the future as well in Granuke (sp?) What's Brennan's status for next week?

Yea i definitely feel comfortable with graunke as our starter next year, especially since we open @ Floria come september 08. Better Graunke than some new guy that doesnt have experience in June Jones's run n' shoot offense.

As for Brennan, he's in. Biggest game of Hawaii college Football history coming up this friday. A lot is at stake. BCS bound, perhaps? We just gotta take care of buisness first and thats to stop BSU high octane offense. I definitely have confidence in our D. Ian is a powerful runner and will be hard to stop. As for Tharp, he's an under-rated QB he has a powerfull arm and our DBs need to pick him off atleast 2x for us to win on Friday...
