So, I just transferred $100 to play at PokerRoom.com. I love the site, but am having trouble adjusting to the play there. I'm playing $0.25/0.50 limit games. A preflop raise accomplishes nothing. As much as I love fish, I'm having a little trouble adjusting to the passiveness of this table. If the flop is low and I have an overpair, people will call me to the river, at which time an overcard will come and I will lose.
I usually play at PokerStars where the play isn't as passive (a raise is actually respected a bit). What's the best way to adjust to this play? Any help would be appreciated.

you'll probably see higher variance due to the fish factor...
Play hands that play well multiway(suited connectors and the like).
-with many people in the pot, bet, raise, check raise your flush and straight draws... Maximize your winnings on those pots.
Have you read SSHE? Its written exactly for that situation.

I haven't read it yet. I'm halfway to getting it for free at PokerStars, so I figured I'd just wait for that. Actually, after I posted this and my bad beat story there, I went to the $25 NL tables and made $80 (leaving me up $60 for the night). This place just seems much fishier than PartyPoker, as hard as it is to believe.

it's due to the fact that pokerroom gets all the people who don't understand the installation instructions everyone else posts
well, that and linux users...but linux users like math, remember that
