i would bet about half to 3/4 the pot on the end.... i also might have bet a little more on the turn maybe 200 or so.

I added a little bit more to what actually happened, I figured that its obvious the correct strategy would be to bet, but when I did bet, he raised...so then I was stuck...any ideas now?

with no reads this is really tough..... you wont be broke if you make the call. with around 500 still left u can still make a comback.. so i would probably have to call

I'd bet 100 - 120 on the flop. There's too many people for such a small bet. Your set's fairly vulnerable. I also bet about 2/3 pot on the turn. As played, on the river I bet about 500 and call any raise.

There's not very many boards I feel comfortably trapping on with a set, but this one does look fairly harmless, I'd still bet at least 3/4ths the pot since it's 6 ways, you've got to get a caller. The turn is a little tricky, with 2 callers I'm wondering what they could have, and I don't mind taking the pot down right here if you bet more on the flop, as played I'd bet at least 200. I honestly don't think you're behind on the river, if he made the straight I'd think he'd bet more for value, but I've seen worse plays. I call and I see an overpair sometimes, but most likely 2 pair. Oh well I suppose he might have an overset, in which case gg you.

arghh nah fold. He's representing a straight ie T9 and the way he's played makes sense and you let him hit by betting so weakly. Such a small pot on the flop with so many people you have to bet more. Its either a straight or a better set very rarely anything else. Pretty sure high pocket pairs would have raised preflop and on the flop.

I'm not convinced. OP just bet 280 into a 780 pot. Pretty weak. I can see villain making a move here.

this was in the 3am Stars $11 MT, so I gues thats my only excuse for my betting so weak, I was pretty tired so I guess I just decided to see if I could spew $11. Looking back at my bets, I now realize just how weak they were...
