Really no read on villian. He seemed to be playing too many hands out of position to raises preflop. I think his preflop range is quite large here. He's like 35/15/2 over small sample (like 60ish hands). I was multi-tabling and it looked like I tanked on turn call so I'm not sure if he took that as weakness. River was confusing because it just seemed like a stupid way to play the nuts. The next best spade he could have besides ace is 10 icon_suit_spade.gif

Could this point be the a possible key in disseminating a possible range of hands that the villain might defend with from the sb?

2nd, how did he play those "too many hands" post flop?

To be honest I hadn't seen him play a big hand yet at this current table and most of my hands with him were from another session. He probably views me as LAG and is bearing the brunt of my button raises.

I read it all a few times but I guess I am missing something. I do not understand the "2nd nuts = nuts" thing..If you think he has the As, fold. If not, call. icon_cool.gif

maybe he hit a gin with 9sTs, and is hoping you have the A. In any event, I fold
CrazyJoe
you have 3rd nuts, looks to me like someone wanting to get paid, you have to have a big one to call on the turn, does he believe you will call on the turn WORSE than the 10s? if not you cant be good.

Sounds about right to me. You can't call. I doubt he has the Ace because the shove makes no sense because the king wont even call him. I think it's more than a maybe, I think he has 910s more often than any other hand here. Insta dump. He's begging for you to have something.

The only way villain calls our PF raise with anything other than an A involved in his hand, and the only way he stays in this deep is if he has a suited connector T -- 9sTs comes to mind. Maaaaaybeeee he has TT with a spade, but if so, he's looking at up at both the A and the K and you hit this pot hard already. This is definitely not air and I think we can save some $ here.

Yea, I called and he flipped 79s for the flopped flush. His river push makes no sense whatsoever because he's turning a hand with good showdown value into a bluff. I'm never calling without at least the 10 of spades. I just think when the 4th spade hit his head imploded because his expert slowplay turned into a bluff.

I called because I was drunk and the next day I was reviewing this session sober and realized there was a good chance I would've folded if I wasn't intoxicated. Playing drunk= +EV

yeah... i think a blood vessel popped in his head when the Qs dropped on the turn...

he might have actually blacked out for a short period of time.. idk how else to explain his reasoning behind "i still have the 9s! IT'S GOT TO STILL BE GOOD!!"

he plays bad..

not gonna lie i'd be pissed if i'm villain & that turn card comes, but i'm not gonna deal w/ the situation by fuccing turning into EOR.. gimme a break this guy coulda checked & made a legitimate lay down & saved himself some money...

all i can say, is he plays bad...
