Hero = t1625
MP2 = t4762

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4 icon_suit_club.gif , J icon_suit_club.gif , T icon_suit_spade.gif , 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif . SB posts a blind of 75. BB posts a blind of 150.
3 folds, MP2 calls, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: 8 icon_suit_heart.gif , 9 icon_suit_heart.gif , Q icon_suit_diamond.gif (3 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, CO folds.

Turn: Q icon_suit_spade.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, MP2 raises, Hero vomits?

Thoughts? MP2 has not shown anything too out of line yet. Should I have checked the turn? Not checked the flop given my stack surely?

pretty std bet/fold. people RARELY bluffraise in o8.

Yeah, best case scenario here is that he has a Q with the heart draw, and then I have to fade a metric shitload of outs since I can't improve. So bet/fold here is correct? I can't imagine chk/fld being right but, hey I'm still learning. Also, given my stack and lack of a possible low (for me), is this one of those spots where you 'wait for a safe turn' to get the money in?

Bet/fold looks like the correct play. He more than likely has what he is representing. However, if this was a tough game I would think otherwise. If he was a tough player he more than likely would have waited until the river to raise a house. To put him on a straight and/or a flush draw with a busted low would not be unreasonable there. If this was a tough player 3-betting would be a good play.

If I go to war with this hand it's for my tournament life, and I don't see what I can be that far ahead of honestly. Nobody in this tournament is all that tough, the field is pretty weak in general, which is saying something because I'm really new to this game. That said, I haven't been watching villain too much but I don't think he's too tricky and I don't think he's bluffing. I hesitated before betting the turn but I figured best to continue forward and try to take it down. The flop bet also seems automatic to me.

people float flops with all sorts of trash in o8. c/fing would be super bad.

Your line looks perfect then. Like I said, I would be very suspicious if a good player did this to me. If villian was a good player he would more than likely call and raise the river with a house. However, you have to assume he has what he's representing here.

if he is that kind of player...like you see him do that sort of stuff all the time...and he will bet a fair deal on both the turn and the river no matter what...is check/calling down unless a heart hits ever an option here?
