This has probably been covered already because qualifiers have gone on for some time now, but I just found it on the internet. The qualifiers are on royal vegas poker, are free, and end in 3 weeks. Has anybody qualified for this? Did anyone play in it last year?

i qualified back in october, been a long wait for the big finale

I'll be playing in it this sunday. Was it fairly easy to qualify? Even though its a free roll I have a feeling people will take it a bit more seriously than a normal free roll.

I also qualified, you then have to place in the semi-final in what I beleive is the top 30% or so, then you go on to the final

The top 30%? That doesnt sound too tricky. Do you guys know where the final is held? I assume you have to pay your way to get there.

Well I just got knocked out of this weeks qualifier. over 2000 people signed up for the tourney. After the first half hour only about 1200 or so remained, so it was EXTREMELY loose. After the first hour there were only about 450 left, sadly I was not one of them. I carefully built my starting stack of 1000 up to 2500 in the first 45 min. I was dealt KK in mp. The high stack (about 5000) was utg+2 and had been trying to be a bully all day. He raised from 150 to 600. I reraise to 1300 to isolate him. Everyone folds to him, he calls. Flop comes 3 icon_suit_spade.gif 6 icon_suit_spade.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif he checks, I push for 1200. He calls, showing k icon_suit_spade.gif q icon_suit_spade.gif . The j icon_suit_spade.gif on the river seals my fate. All in all it seems like a very easy tourney to place in the top 10%, many of the 2000 weren't even playing. I'm looking forward to playing again next week to move on to the next qualifier.
