I really need to put in the hours this month. I don't think I've played more than 50 hours in a month since March.

At some point this month I want to sign up for click2pay and get some more money online.

July goals:

* work my roll so that I'm playing 5/10 SHLHE full time by the end of the month
* try to maintain a winrate between 1.6-1.8 BB/100 at both 3/6 and 5/10
* make between 3-5K with winnings, rakeback, and bonii get factored in
* start posting more hands and posting more in the strat sections

At first my monetary goal was to make 5k but I punched in the #s and if I don't make 10k, I'm going to pretty damn annoyed as it implied either I'm worse than a 1bb/100 winner or I actually ran bad.

July I am going to grind out some bonus on Fulltilt, and play somewhere around 1500-1700 hands a day. I am hoping to make a couple grand.... I am going to build up my roll big enough so that I can head down to foxwoods and be rolled for the 1/2 $300 max.

My June goals were:

-Continue to play $4 180's until the BR is above 1k, and then i'll move up to the $10 ones.

So as you can see I didnt really do any of my goals. I was switching games way too often, trying to figure out what I really wanted to focus my time on.

I started with 6max .10/.25 and was 6-8tabling those games and played about 8k hands, and ended up being down a little bit. I know it's not a big enough sample but I decided 6max didn't really suit my play.

So then I went back to grinding MTT's, my best finish was 10th in the $8 tourney on Stars, for only $50 which was very disappointing(it was 2.2k for first). I went semi-deep in the $3 rebuy a couple times but not enough to satisfy me. I also managed to finish 7th in a $10 180man on stars, for $60~, again, not the finish I was hoping for

I then tried doing 9man turbo SNG's on stars which actually went pretty well and I made about $150 from it, but all those earnings got dumped back into MTT's and I lost most of it. So then I decided to just stick to the sngs and not play any MTT's and I was up $100 again, but then went on a 10game downswing and lost half of that.

Then I gave 50NL full ring a shot a few days ago and Ive been doing well so far, keeping in mind Ive only played 1k hands but I feel alot more comfortable in these than the 6max.

I somehow met my goals (5-10k profit).

I finished up +$6.4k...played very little though...I got lucky to win a donkament, and then I won a few grand in cash.

I'm not sure if I'm going to commit to this now...but I'll just go ahead and post it.

I'd like to try and play between 30 and 40,000 hands of strictly HU play at 200nl. I think if I play this many hands I will be looking at a 75-100 buy-in month.

Not sure though, if I'll play that many hands. I really hardly played in June...but I know I could easily get 40k hands in if I really wanted to.

I think I'd have to run about 10ptbb/100.

But, If I do this, I will play a few satelittes for some EPTs...and the European main event.

I want to avoid donkaments this month, as they really are hit or miss and I've been running sick in them and I think a solid month of cash would be good for me....I'll probably still play a few donkaments but I really wanna concentrate on this goal here and see if I can do it.

June was an interesting month, I was in Mexico for the first 1/3 of the month, and was working about 3-4 days a week. I only played just under 30 hours of cash (7.7k hands) and 17 donkaments (only cashed in 1). I was:

Overall: A little over 3k month.




Goals for July:

*play longer sessions

My June goal was to reverse my downswing and make up my losses from May.
I only managed to play 2.5k hands of .02/.04NL and made up a bit but then dropped back again.
I played 40 $3 SnG and results were as follows :

This left me break even for SnG play.

A little frustrated I played 300 hands of .10/.25NL and won back my losses from June. Not the best idea but...

June goal was to profit $4k.. I fell just a bit short.. I won $3566 for the month. I played 96 hours and had 18 winning sessions and 6 losing sessions. My biggest winning session was +670 while my biggest losing session was only $340. I did a much better job this month of getting out of games when they weren't good or things weren't going well. From 06/07 to the end of the month I won in 12 straight sessions and 14 of my last 16. I kept most of my sessions short this month which is definetely a good thing but I have to make sure to play as long as possible when I'm running well and game conditions are good.

I now have $1k online to play $100 nl HU so hopefully that should allow me to have a 5k-6k a month. I'd like to get at least 100 hours live as well as about 20k HU hands.

My goal for July is to not have this happen everyday.

Failed. I went through a terrible downswing the first week and took more time off to regain focus.

-Play 15k hands of 50 NLHE or higher.
Failed. Played 6,497 hands, though I played about 3,000 of them in the first 4 days of the month.

-Reach Gold Star on Stars. Would have reached it this month if not for my break.
Negative, still a silver star.

-Make at least 500.00
Failed again. Made 46.00 total, which is a profit at least after being down 150.

June another break-even month. Vegas was good, the 4-8 limit game with 1/2 kill at Rio was pretty sweet, but lost one big pot with Aces full to quads, I made it like 7 bets when I should have stopped earlier because the girl got all excited and said "no cap heads up right" but oh well.

I'm also moving into my own (with my gf) apartment, so I'm finally accepting responsibility for paying rent, etc, which should make my life as a "professional" more stressful, demanding, etc.

But it's all cool.

Bills suck.. I just moved in with my girlfriend three weeks ago and I've spent so much time and money on moving and getting settled. The positive? I can see the Borgata from my front step

Last time I checked pokertracker before it was gone, June was a ~+150 month, I was running at about 12-14 ptbb/100 at 2c/5c and about .1ptbb/100 at 5c/10c, can't remeber over how many hands but it was a couple of thousand.

July goals:

the other day while I had no online poker, I had an itch that needed to be scratched, so I headed to the casino to play. This is hugely -EV (nl 1/2, buyin of 80, 5 timecharge plus 10% of the pot upto $8) , but I had fun dammit and I'll go back . Point of story; July's primary goal is to have fun with poker, as thats why I play, profit is bonus. Monetary goal, couple of hundred, and move up to nl25 at some point.

Currently have $94 on stars
Want to be at around 150-175 by then end of the month playing mainly sngs and a few MTTs
Hopefully get to a FT in a MTT for a nice cash too

soo, since i cleared 3k the month of June, I'll try for that this month. Although I have a feeling I'll be busy with a lot of things "summer related".

July Goal - Have $6 in Stars acct. Using stakeaments found in general, or by the stroke of luck if a mystery backer comes to my rescue, increase THAT by 300x. C'mon, that's doable, isn't it??

Achieved Goal 1. Goal 2 is a no go. I played 193 hands of poker in June at $10NL and lost $5.35. I just haven't had much desire to play/post since I got back from Vegas.

July:

I'll keep it simple. 5K hands at a profit this month and I'll be happy.

June results

I travelled a lot in June, so I did not really play enough to get a good shot at my goals. Anyway, here are the results:

• Get a positive ROI, at least for the month, but hopefully also "lifetime", though that expression feels like a bit of an overstatement. I started to practice 2-tabling SNG's a while ago (I'm mainly a small stakes SNG and MTT player) and my ROI has dropped quite a bit since then. However, I feel I'm slowly getting the hang of it, so I hope June will be the month where I turn the graph upwards.

Just failed - down about $60.

• In May, I won my first $4 180-player SNG on Stars, which was quite an enjoyable experience. The main goal for June will be to keep performing well in those, say with 2 or 3 final tables.

Played only 9, did not make a final table.

• I recently discovered the $3+R $10.000 guaranteed tournament on Stars, and enjoy playing that one a lot. Goal for June: to finish in the money in 25% of the ones I play.

Played only 8, but made the money twice, so this one gets a check mark.

• Finish in the money in one of the Sunday tournaments here at the Paris casino. These are 80-player tournaments with the top 9 places payed; so far I've played 2 and come in 17th and 39th place. Well, I'll probably have only one chance to play in one of those in June, so this one is more like a "summer goal".

Played one, as expected. Lost two races with AK and was out before the end of level 2.

• Start lurking around a bit less, and posting on this forum a bit more. Let's see if I can get my enormous number of 5 posts up to 15.

• Winning trip to Vegas - will be there for 4 days playing mostly 1/2 NL. I'd like to profit $500 or better to cover the cost of the trip
• Profit $400 at NL $50 six max - need $600 profit to make me a lifetime winning player but don't know that I can erase all that this month
• Profit $300 at SH LHE 1/2 and move up to 2/4 if the bankroll allows
• Play on average 2 hours a day but play without also reading forums/email/watching videos/etc. My biggest leak is not paying attention to the table.
• Spend more time in strategy and less time in general.

July Goals:

1/ Get cash out of Mansion and into FullTilt

2/ Play some goddamn poker for once. At least 15k hands.

I don't know what to play though. Here are my options as I see them:

I like the idea of HU NLHE/PLO cash games, but I can multitable better if I'm playing full ring or 6max. MTT's are high variance so I think I'll keep those to one side and play them sporadically, and I think NLHE/PLO are better than LHE for me. Other than that, I'm clueless. Should I just mix and match whatever I feel like playing at any one time?

I think what I really need right now is to just get on a staking plan that's contingent on me not playing with <20 BI and then stick with that. Lately, whenever I put my own money online, I get up to about 8-10x my deposit within a week or two, but I keep using bad BR management and blowing it. Guess that kind of goes along with trying to correctly manage a bankroll down around $1,000 knowing I used to have close to 100x that.

I know I got some offers a month or so ago and ended up turning them down, so if anyone's still interested, I think this would be a good time. In 5,000 hands on Full Tilt the last 2 months, I'm running at 19.38 PT BB/100 and probably similar numbers on Bodog where PTO's incompatible. Probably, at least $1,000 would be best so I can play 0.25/0.50 with a real bankroll off the bat, but I'll listen to any offers via PM.

Seeing people playing comfortably with 20 BI's makes me feel like a scared little girl.

I feel bad and move down if i drop below 60.

Well, it's not ideal. If I was robusto enough to play 5/10 again and didn't want to let myself have any chance of going broke, I'd probably want something more like 40 BI. Maybe 50 BI to play 10/20. In the meantime though, all I'm shooting for is like a 10% ROR.

Didn't get to play until the last week of June. Was down almost 3k at one point, but got to just over +2k by the end.

July goals are to play a lot and play well.

Well, July got off to a fun start (finally).



Mostly 3/6 on AP. A bit of 5/10.

Tonight is the first night I'm relatively settled into my new place.

This is the first time really for me moving, and this is my first real "own" place kinda deal, so there's waaaaaay more work involved in this than I'd hoped, lol.

I'm not sure I ever formally stated my goals or results from June yet, so I'll do this now.

Although I've got a retarded amount of **** to do, I'd still like to play 25-40k hands in July. I figured if I play ~40k, I should make enough for the $3000 ARP bonus (reaching 200k ARPs), as I seem to be making ~3 ARPs/hand, so I hope to get that nice boost next month. If I get 40k hands in July, it'll be the hardest working month of my life, lol. Gonna aim for it though. It'll be tough though.

I don't have a monetary goal. I just want to win. Maintaining the ~1 BB/100 winrate that I have in my DB is a good goal. I'm out of bonus on AP, but I've got some cash in Click2Pay waiting for another bonus so I can get back on that. The bonus is worth so much/hand now, I need to get on that ASAP, and then pull out money again for the next one. I don't imagine I'll be able to keep the bonus account off of zero for long, as it clears so damn fast now.

Anywho. My June totals were +$2053.99 online, and I played less than 7k hands (LOL) due to my travelling. This doesn't include any live poker, where I got owned, naturally.

  I think I was actually slightly profitable in live cash games. However, I did pretty horribly online.
• Play some tournaments at Rio/Bellagio/Venetian.
  Played some. Didn't cash, though I'm relatively satisfied with my play.
• Play some satellites to the WSOP ME.
  Played one supersatellite to the ME. Had the chip lead with 50 left...finished in 16th with 8 seats paying.

Last month I started in a 10k hole and managed to climb out of it by stringing together a bunch of big MTT finishes. This month, I started out +$2k through MTTs. I then proceeded to have a meltdown session ($-7k) last night playing mostly 5/10 SHNL and 20/40 SHLHE. I mean, I think I ran pretty poorly with getting cracked and missing big draws in big pots, but I'm really not thrilled about this at all. I'm feeling like just a tournament specialist at the moment. All that said, I'm going to start my job this month which involves a good bit of travel, so that may cut back on the poker.

July Goals

-> Establish a self-sufficient online bankroll playing 1/2 NLHE (6 max)
I deposited $500 on July 1st for this goal... Don't worry, I know that this is *ridiculously* too small to play 1/2, but that is only my *online* roll and it is only a fraction of my total bankroll. If I go bust and have to redeposit, so be it (but I will do my best to avoid this possibility). So far, I've built it to $2300 without redepositing

-> Play at least 10k hands at 1/2 and build a roll to at least $6000 online
(20 buyins at 1/2 NLHE + 5 buyins at 2/4)
If I reach *both* goals, then I take a 5 buyin shot at 2/4 NLHE

-> In general, stick to the following step-up rule:
(1) Play at least 10k hands at a given level showing a positive ROI of at least 3 PTBB/100
(2) Build up an online roll of 20 buyins at my current level, plus a further 5 buyins at the next level.
(3) Once (1) and (2) are accomplished, take a 5 buyin shot at the next level
