Hand 1:
I think I should fold here because of my poor relative position. If I do flop TP with an A/Q, I'll most likely have to call a flop bet having no clue as to what the players in back of me will do. Also, should I raise this pf?

Hand 2:
If I raise here and get reraised, I probably have to throw a perfectly good big pot hand away depending on the size of the reraise. If I limp, I'm playin a small pot with a "big pot" kinda hand. So, limp or raise?

1: a fold is OK if you're not a good post flop player.
2. I don't hate a 3BB raise here. Depends on table texture.

1. Raise pre-flop w/ it. As played I would let it go. But I wouldn't EVER limp w/ it. What on earth are you hoping will happen?

2. I raise there a lot. If I'm 3-bet by a good sized stack I most definitely call. I never open limp there w/out a good reason, blinds raise every single hand, jam flop no matter what etc...some kind of specific move I'm planning. As you said, it's just not going to be worth it.

Saying Ever/Never in poker situations is usually not a good idea.

I'm probably raising with AQo UTG 95% of the time, but it's not totally unreasonable to open-limp with it. One good thing that it does is provide cover when you want to limp in with the small pairs from EP.

As for the hands...

1) If you're open-limping it, go ahead and call that reasonable raise as we'll have position on the pre-flop raiser post-flop.

2) If you're uncomfortable post-flop, fold it. If you're comfortable post-flop, raise it. If you're very comfortable post-flop and against loose/bad players, you can sometimes limp.
