This hand occurred with 30 players left out of a field of roughly 3k. Average stack was about 600k, so I needed to make a move.

What do you think of this play?

I don't think that is an ideal situation for a stop&go. You probably have MP1 beat, but a short stack min-raise from UTG+1 looks like a monster and you probably have very little fold equity on the flop, even if he didn't hit anything there (and he could easily have a pocket pair too).

I think folding to the original raise and call would have been a better decision.

Meh, I'm not a huge fan. With MP1 all in, there is a lot of 'dead money' in the middle, and UTG+1 could likely be holding a monster w/ his EP minraise (as much as I hate that play.. gotta respect it at times)

I don't hate it, I don't love it...

Not sure how you fold here PF... 40000 to win 149680, thats nearly 4:1 on your money.

Okay granted, I missed the fact that he was closing the action. In that spot I probably would have called also.

But if I don't see a 6 on the flop bye bye hand.

I hate the push though, the only hand that's calling is the one that has you beat right closedeyes.gif

I guess I screwed this one up.

I called the flop getting 4-1, then saw a fairly unthreatening flop and shoved my stack in for a pot sized bet into AJ ggighn.

I suppose it was a bit reckless.
