I have no idea what's going on here. I have never seen play like this. I'm playing 1/2 on Ultimate Bet, a site a consider to have pretty decent players. I just saw a hand get capped preflop with three player in it. The capper turned out to have J10 suited from middle position, and the person in front of him had K9 suited. Ended up catching a K on the river for the win, a pair of Kings.
Following that I raised from early/mid position with QQ, got three-bet by the person to my left, I capped, putting him all-in, turns out he had J9 suited. I still won, but what the hell?! Can anyone explain this strategy to me cause I'm baffled?

Was it after 11pm or on a weekend? The most likely answer is your opponents were drunk. Next time this happens just ask "are you drunk?" You will be surprised at the responses you get.

Yeah...gotta love that...or do ya hate it?
Last week at 5/10 was at a table like that. Was crazy..... here is one for ya...
Im in cut off with KK, early player raises 2 callers I reraise and BB caps, everyone calls... 5 people in capped pot at 5/10
Now the bb was a maniac and capped everything he had lost over 1200 in less than 2 hours so that wasnt a suprise....
OK back to the story...
Flop came K, he comes out betting they all stay I raise he reraises I cap. Now a few dropped out at this.
Turn came nothing he bets I raise he reraises I cap.
River came another friggen diamond. I was sure he didnt have 2 diamonds but now there are 4 on the board. I didnt have one. He bets I just call. Knowing full well Im beat but no way I was going to give up a 10 dollar bet for a 350 dollar pot in limit.
he shows... Q hearts......... 5 DIAMONDS for the flush. 350 dollar pot on that crap. Ugggh.....
