My cousin is just getting interested in poker and wants something to read. He literally is brand new to playing and wants to get better at NLHE. All of my books are a little advanced. What should I recommend to him to buy?

First book I ever read was Harrington on Holdem. Another I would recommend after a bit of practice is Phil Gordon's Little Green Book. Avoid anything written by Hellmuth.

I second Gordon's Little Green Book. Harrington's books are great but they're geared specifically for tournaments. Gordon's gives you the big picture of NLHE and it's a nice starting point.

Look above... Daniel's Holdem Wisdom for All Players is a very easy to read, easy to understand and a great book for any level.
