I freaking love her, she so.. sensuous and sexual in the kitchen... but it's a shame her cooking show is by far the worst one I've seen on the food network.. everything she makes looks basic and lousy. I know I can't taste it, and tasting is the most important part, and maybe what she makes is freaking outstandingly good....


But if she wasn't just smoking hot, this show would just float around in the toilet. As it is, it's must see TV.

But I'm glad other people like her. The early reaction was so odd that I was starting to think it was a strange attraction.

Man she is Hot, but she is annoying, her voice, the way she pronounces her dishes, very snobby...her cooking is mostly rustic italian, not ment to be over pronounced, over glorified.

But her show is great, esspecially on MUTE!!

It's "home style" italian for the most part.

It's simple, low brow, easy...

The show is meant to be a vechile for her to stand around and be hot.. you don't want to get too many complex recipes to draw your attention and draw your eye off the prize...


My aunt also has a very low opinion of her cookbooks, but I couldn't say myself I'm pretty much just a JOy of cooknig guy, with a couple odd ethnic cookbooks thrown in the mix. But I think low of cookbooks with glossy pages, lots of pictures, simple recipes and little instruction, and from a glance at her cookbook, it's all of the above.

Simple; sure, but awesome, also.

But I eat nothing but Italian food, so I'm biased.

Obviously you've never seen Robin Miller's show. It's the first (and hopefully only) time I can confidently say that I'm a better cook than someone with a show on the food network.

Mario kick's ***, so does Paula Dean. Give Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) a shot...she's not the fanciest, but her show is by far the most relaxing to watch.

You know how when you're a kid, you want to eat at McDonald's for every meal, and barring that, you want nothing but pizza or spaghetti? I never grew out of that.

Also, I don't like meat, mostly, so pasta is a logical diet-foundation.

wo wo wo...this is NOT what i said...her cooking is ment as rustic Italian (yet she barely uses any fish, and big parts of rustic italian is shore cities or villages)...also the way she pronounces her italian is very Bougois (sp? dutch, big D) not what her food is ment to be...and her stuff doesn't even look good really (other than her rack....) SHE PACKS MASCARPONE into everything!!!! IMO a fatal flaw of any cook is reliance on one or two ingredients for all their food, it clutters the palate and makes everything taste the same. I once watched an episode where she made three things, all had just variations of the same ingredients. PUKE

Also, what does she know about low brow etc, HER FAMILY IS TREMENDOUSLY WEALTHY and she was brought up on Movie sets!!
