2/5 at the Borgota

I've been playing LAGGish and have 3 rocks to my left. I busted one of them 2 orbits ago by raising preflop with 56 and getting smooth called by AA preflop. My raises aren't getting much respect now.

Me: $1700ish A icon_suit_club.gif K icon_suit_diamond.gif
Villian: $300 (Has played very tight and has only played one pot against me where he reraised preflop and I folded)

Folded to me in MP3, I raise to $25, and button calls, BB calls

FLOP ($75)
A icon_suit_spade.gif Q icon_suit_heart.gif 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif

BB checks, I bet $50, villian calls, BB folds.

TURN ($175)
A icon_suit_spade.gif Q icon_suit_heart.gif 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif 8 icon_suit_heart.gif
He's got $225 left.

If you're not getting respect, I'd shove here and expect a call from AJ, A9 and even maybe a hand like KQ if they really don't believe you.

I think you have to bet and any bet commmits you, so go ahead and push and make it look like a steal.

was 25 standard?

and as played, push him all in.

220 is peanuts at a live 2-5 game

Some players were $20, two older guys at the table were $30. My standard used to be $20, but not playing much anymore, I'm trying to thin down fields cause I'm not very comfortable post flop anymore.

Then there's your bet.

Put him all-in for his last 225.

I check/called just in case he could fold AJ. He was tight enough that he never has a bare queen here even though he doesn't respect my raise preflop. He had AQ here and I had the sinking feeling that's what he had which is why I kicked myself for the hand. I then justified this by telling myself how short stacked the hand played.
