I like the flop call. I think this is a good chance to wait for a safe turn card.
Tricky situation.
There is so much value in a flop 3bet here, I just couldn't turn it down.
You are very often ahead.
And every opponent will always give you an extra bet on this flop.
Easy money.
Waiting to see a safe turn is not as helpful when we are out of position.
And when the turn is not "safe" (J?), are we check-folding?
Point:
3betting the flop is often very very good.
Waiting until the turn often leaves us in the same confusing situation.
Thus I 3bet the flop.
As played, I lead this seemingly innocent turn.
We can't passively check-call down 2 streets vs 3 opponents with a vulnerable pair of 9's on this dangerous board.
That would be horrible.
Are we hoping to check-raise an expected bet from UTG?
Can we really expect him to bet again vs three guys?
As played, I feel that we have gotten ourselves in a mess with the passive play so far.
But I still raise the turn.
