Wang, I hear you.
I wrote a ton.. but can we discuss pumping a pot with a
flop: bet/call.
Turn: Bet/3-bet line
It's pot building, where CO may be able to make calls correctly, had he known it was not going to go 3-bets.
Are we more concerned about trying to get CO to fold hands he hardly ever will, except gutters, which are so close to bad calls, we shouldn't really care if he calls or folds.
I'm tired; but damn, I want to get that discussion going.
Yeah, the only think we'll be worried about on any given turn is a flush draw that just popped up, and some kind of straight draw. Everything else is drawing dead. It would be nice to make CO face two cold, but he'll call with open-enders anyway. If he folds the occasional gutshot that's nice, but it won't affect our equity that much.
I still think I might like a turn check/raise, because I'd really like this pot to be headsup going to the river, especially if the board gets more coordinated on the turn. That being said, if I weren't lazy, I'd do some equity checks and see how it affects our margins. If we could bet/call, bet/3-bet, we'd get a chance to face CO with two cold, anyway. If that were possible, I'd be all over it.
