Hero is BB with Ad Ah
CO is the same donkey as in my other hands. UTG is a decent, experienced player. Everyone else is still your standard goofball.
UTG calls, MP calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls, sb completes, Hero raises, everyone calls.
Flop: 9d 9s 10d.
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, MP calls, MP2 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero 3 bets, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Sb calls.
Turn 8d(9d 9s 10d).
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, MP folds, CO calls, SB folds.
River Qh.
Hero checks..
Standard right? Do I raise the turn without the Ad?

Yeah, I play it the same.
I bet the turn without the Ad too.
I probably call a river bet, but not two, simply cuz the pot is monstrous, but I'm almost never ahead here.

Why are you checking the river?

Why are you checking the river?
I'm curious to see OP's answer, but I'm thinking because a bet is only likely getting called by a better hand. Any J straights, the board is paired, and flushed. I think the river is a c/c at best.

CO will often call with a worse hand, so a bet wouldn't be bad. I don't think UTG is calling with a worse hand, but he might call. I geuss it is close, and I could fold to raise (as it would almost never be a bluff). I posted this hand because I thought it was a somewhat tricky spot. The answer to Actuary's qeustion is I don't know, that is why I am here!

if you absolutely won't be folding the best hand 1/30 ish times, it seems a river bet or not comes down to:
Are the opponents more likely to bet or call with worse hands?
I think it's pretty clear, they would rather call.
So betting is best
Now, are there better hands that are still so passive that you can see save money by letting the river check thru?
