May results:

In HU cash games I played 16,177 hands and ran at 13.54ptbb/100. I didn't play much the last week and a half. I've been spending a lot of time with this girl and it really has cut down on my play. I also have finals so yea.

Graph:

My overall Cash game graph:

So, overall cash games I was +$4,649.45. I also earned $247.68 in rake back. Bringing my cash game totals to $4,897.13.

For Donkaments:

+$9,245.23

Total profit:>>>>>> edit -- my profits are actually closer to $15k, so that's a good edit. lol

My donkaments may be a little off, I may be up a bit more cause I subtracted some buy-ins from when I was staked...but I think it's close to being right.

I had a little negative variance at the end of the month, and lost about $1k. Sigh. Still a very good month back.

----

June Goals:

I may continue to play $100nl HU for a while, although I should move up to $200nl HU, which I will this month. Regardless, I'd like to win 50 buy-ins total HU at any limit, not excluding mixing the two.

Donkaments: I'd like to have another positive month of donkaments. Anytime you finish a month up on the positive side of MTT variance, that's a good month.

Monetary goal: $5-$10k profits.

----

GL2U. Don't worry about $ too much, just try to play well and make good decisions.

I want to also add I wanted to win 40 buy-ins HU in May, which I did. Once I got to that point I wanted to get to 50-60, nearly got to 50 then dropped...and then I hardly played. So, I'm happy that I met my 40 buy-in goal...but I def. think I could have gotten to 60 had I played more.

The interesting thing about June will be how much I play. I've been spending time with this girl a pretty good amount and it's been cutting back on my play. I'm also taking summer courses and going to mexico for a week.

I hate you icon_suit_heart.gif smile.gif Last month was my first losing month in a while. I lost 10ish buyins and then played some donkaments, went deep a few times for about $300 profit.

I am cashing out my roll, I think I am going to learn some games at micro stakes. I am starting a business renting gaming tables, I just ordered 2k worth of chairs and 3k in poker tables so I hope it works... good luck guys.

All of my poker playing goals have been unrealistic. My new goal is to reach 1K in forum posts. I need to average 11.5 posts/day. I plan to bump many threads, +1 the soon to be locked ones, and start many a flame war.

Non poker related goals are to find a pea coat, punch someone in the face, and run someone off the road for driving to slow in the left hand lane.

I failed

June Goal:

I've got lots of money to burn so... play mostly MTTs in the $10-$30 range. Win one maybe?

Good Luck!

Jordan, whats ur "donkaments" profits from?? its different than your cash game graphs?

My May Goals went well.

I didnt play as often as i wanted, only about 20hrs a week. But I managed to basically reach my goals. As you see in my signature.

The goal was to be at 2500 once i deposited online. well the deposit hasnt gone my way, My banks tell me i cant use visa now, neteller is gone, so now i'm looking at moneybookers.

Hoefully for June, I'll play more live. closer 30 hours a week. and 20 hours a week online.

for the Royal Run i want/need to be at 4500 by the end of this month. If i can get over 5k. so a profit of 2800+ i'll be happy

cheers
and good luck all

RT,

Look into Click2Pay. You just load it with a credit card, and yours might work for it.

It's amazingly fast for moving money around, but I don't use it to cashout, since the checks take a long time, and come from Germany in EUROS, but it's still great for moving money around, and I had an easy time depositing with it.

My May Goals went well.

I won the $22k on ftp, took 4th it another time (riggerdom), took 4th in the 100k on stars, which paid out 9.2k right there, but I was staked (also ending my stakeage)...and then some other smaller cashes.

I have no graph for donkaments. I don't know if you can do one, so yes those graphs are just cash games...I track my mtt results just using notepad.

Mr. Sparco
My goals for June:
  • Get a positive ROI, at least for the month, but hopefully also "lifetime", though that expression feels like a bit of an overstatement. I started to practice 2-tabling SNG's a while ago (I'm mainly a small stakes SNG and MTT player) and my ROI has dropped quite a bit since then. However, I feel I'm slowly getting the hang of it, so I hope June will be the month where I turn the graph upwards.
  • In May, I won my first $4 180-player SNG on Stars, which was quite an enjoyable experience. The main goal for June will be to keep performing well in those, say with 2 or 3 final tables.
  • I recently discovered the $3+R $10.000 guaranteed tournament on Stars, and enjoy playing that one a lot. Goal for June: to finish in the money in 25% of the ones I play.
  • Finish in the money in one of the Sunday tournaments here at the Paris casino. These are 80-player tournaments with the top 9 places payed; so far I've played 2 and come in 17th and 39th place. Well, I'll probably have only one chance to play in one of those in June, so this one is more like a "summer goal".
  • Start lurking around a bit less, and posting on this forum a bit more. Let's see if I can get my enormous number of 5 posts up to 15.

well, I barely had a winning month of may with getting in 23K hands in the last two weeks since I took the first two weeks off. most of my play was at 2/4 and I got in like 2300 hands at 3/6(where I'm down like 65 BBs overall, not a big deal). Took some time to really examine my play since I got back in the swing and I fixed some leaks that I had before and am aiming for a big june. So, my hope for june is to get in 45-60K hands and bring myself up to playing 3/6 and 5/10 SHLHE. I should be able to reach that if I avg 1.5-1.75 BB/100 and really get on with things.
Alex916F
well this month has definately been a success... early on i was running like crap and not liking my play so i suspended myself for a week just to freshen up and get away. Once a returned to 50NL it was an up and down battle but I have really gotten into a stride this past week. it felt like last Tues. I had an epiphany when it comes to cash games and ever since then i have ran my br up quite a bit. the beginning of this month i had a 1200 dollar br swung down to just above 1k and now right after i have logged off of PS i have 1990 dollars. I am about to move up to 100NL full ring and will start concentrating on 6max 50NL. this month i mixed up omaha (10NL) and felt like I had a good hold on the game but definately need work.

Another goal i had this month was to do good record keeping which unfortunately I slacked on. I started out recording with PT and purchased PAHUD but I dont have a computer of my own so i bounce from my roommates and my parents cpu so i use a flash drive with all my programs and preferences. Using a flash drive screws up the PT and I just have not felt like trying to figure it out. And i ordered PAHUD mid month and they still havent sent me my activation code. so yea... i have to get on that.

June Goals:

begin to beat 100NL
begin to beat 6 Max 50NL
begin to beat 6 Max 25NL Omaha
Keep records
Become Goldstar
And FT a damn tourny that is worth a damn not some 180 man...
timwakefield
May: + about $5k in tournaments, bringning my bankroll (after a withdrawal) to $4.5k icon_confused.gif.

Goal for June is simple. Win a tournament, or more specifically win the $55k gtd. Last 6 weeks or so I have finished 2nd in 3 different tourneys (all relatively small PLO tourneys, first place ~ $800), and recently finished 4th and then 8th in the 55k.

BRING IT ON JUNE!

May Goals

50 STT, same limit with a positive ROI.

Nope. Played a grand total of 2. Finished 3rd in one and bricked the other. Net$: (0.80) Net ROI: -11.76

3500 micro NL cash hands with a solid winrate.

I exceeded my hands goal and finished the month ahead. I really would like some feedback on the overall numbers I'm putting up and would love it if someone would be interested in reviewing my PT numbers.

5421 hands. Net$: 54.35 (Almost exactly $0.01 per hand). Net ptbb/100: 3.66

At $10NL, which was my primary focus I played 5295 hands at a ptbb/100 of 2.66. Since I started playing micro at this level in April I've played 7825 hands at a ptbb/100 of 2.67. For comparisons sake in that time I've played a sample 1/10th that size at $25NL and my winrate there is 35ptbb/100. Like I said if anyone is interested in offering me some feedback please let me know.

June Goals

I'm headed to the WSOP next thursday. Not sure what to expect but goal number 1 is to make the WSOP trip profitable. I'm going to be concentrating mainly on the side games and the satellites but I will definitely play at least one event and maybe more depending on how I think I'm playing.

Online I'm going to stick with $10NL and try to show a consistent profit. Tomorrow is my last day at my job and then I have all summer before heading to graduate school in the fall. I think 10K hands for June is a good number to shoot for and I'd like to win 10 buyins over that period.

Good luck to everyone this coming month!

May Results:

-Continue playing poker regularly after I go home for summer break.
Did for the first 3 weeks of the month, then went on a downswing and lost motivation and took a one week break.

-Play 15k hands of 50 and 100 NL
Was well on pace for it before my break, finishing with just under 10k

-Build BR to $2000
Nope. Only made $344 following my downswing.

-Post more hands in the NL strategy section.
Posted a few, so success here.

June Goals:

-Maintain motivation through downswings and resume playing everyday.

-Play 15k hands of 50 NLHE or higher.

-Reach Gold Star on Stars. Would have reached it this month if not for my break.

-Make at least 500.00
dreamcrusher28
Absolute:---$1469......(+142)

Bodog:-----$959........(+175)

PStars:----$500.........(-13)

Live play 1/2 NL: 4 LOUSY FOKIN' HRS (-$319)......Bankroll= $3229

Swingy month for me, started out on a massive downswing, then massive upswing, then level off with my usual profit of peanuts. Hardly played at all live, which is probably good since I seem destined to go broke!!!! icon_frown.gif

23 DAYS til VEGAS BABBEEEEEEEE!!!!!

May results,
since april, have turned ~$30 into $170 playing 1c/2c and have just started to play 2c/5c as well.

June goals;

move up to at least 5c/10c end of the month and be close to moving to 10c/25c so a profit of $200 would be good.

I had a goal to get my BR up to 2k, but I didn't post it in the May thread.
Fell a little short, BR is at $1954.51 but I'm satisfied...

Goals for JUNE

Bring the BR up to 3k playing NL .50/1 6max

Reach a final table

work on HU play

Find all the donks an drunks and take their money

That's all I can think of for now..
Abbaddabba
22k hands, +$6k

Awful month, but i deserve what i got considering how little i played.

I dont see june getting any better, as ill be kicking the month off in veags and probably getting very few hands in.

Ill be optimistic and say 35k hands, $10k.
pokerfan1080
May goal was to have a winning month....... results: failed, I broke even.

Poker has been extremely frustrating for the last few months. I'm playing tight aggressive poker, but the donks are hitting their weak starting hands and I'm missing. Even when I have monster starting hands the A rag donks are hitting A's against my KK, QQ hands, or even hitting their rag vs my AK, AQ, etc. And, the coolers are getting worse. Three times within about an hour the other night I lost to set over set. There's just nothing that I can do about the losses I've had. Here's a really good one, I lost with AA the other night on an A39 rainbow flop. Preflop villain made a standard 3BB raise, I re-raise to 10BB, villain calls 7BB. Villain pots the flop, I re-raise, villain pushes, I call. Villain has 33 and hits his one outer on the turn, gg me. That's been standard for me over the last many months.

To be completely honest, my interest in poker has been starting to decay, probably from the bad luck I've had over the last few months. And about a week ago I've began to look into another hobbie of mine that has been on the back burner for a while, photography. I've just purchased some new gear and will be devoting alot of my time to learning the new gear. Poker will no doubt take a back seat for a while. But I will probably play enough to keep silver star status on stars, as well as play some on Absolute for a little rakeback.

So, my goals for June are to take it easy and play when I have the chance to. No tangible goals, just have some fun.

GL everyone.

June Goals

1. Make enough to pay my bills.
2. Get off the stake and get back to playing on my own money.

Ideally, I'd like to head down to Vegas for the World Series if I can hit an online donkament or something to finance it, as I've got 3 free nights waiting for me at the Bellagio if I get a little bit of a bankroll together. Barring some MTT luck or a generous stake however, I think fulfilling the above goals is about as ambitious as I can get.

No, Cryptos are too hard.

Bonus + RB + ARP at AP may be slightly less than crypto, if it is, it's not much (if they keep it at 50 pts/$10... heard it was back up to 75, but I can't say for sure).

The play at AP is terrible enough to counteract the slight deficit at Crypto, and IMO, it's not close.
Roberts2003
In May i made roughly 14 grand. 4K was from a tournament, the rest was cash games, mainly 2 4 NL 6 max and heads up. There was a week of May that i didnt play cause my account was suspended, and random days that i was unable to play.
Bankroll so far-$35,200

In June, I have a couple goals. I want to comfortably move to 3 6 NL within the next 2 weeks. I only have 2 more weeks of being able to play before i leave for the summer to New Hampshire on a lake, so i want to get in a good amount of hands in these next 2 weeks. I think 5K over the 2 weeks is a pretty safe goal, and thats what i will shoot for. The 2nd two weeks of June when I can't play I want to read up on Omaha and try to learn and get decent at the game. I feel like a 1 trick pony right now, the only thing i can play is NL Hold Em, and only 6 max or heads up.

Strong 9 out

yeah, i keep forgetting that 2bb/100 at crypto and -3bb/100 at AP is not normal.

was at $50/10 two days ago, though sometimes my points were listed at 50 or 51 before turning over again. I dunno, I guess losing at AP jaded me, but seems like the bonus doesn't add up nearly fast enough being contributed for someone with a measly 24/18.

I'm lucky if my VPIP is 24, and I do ok with the bonus/rb. ARP's are a huge factor that you have to consider, and really the only way to max that out is to play enough there to maintain Elite and collect 200k points.

Fwiw, I think on June 1, it may roll back to the 75 pts/$10. Palomino posted that on the SYR boards, but I haven't gone past 50 yet today, so maybe tonight I'll update.

yeah, i'm still below 50K points and Platinum, and there just isn't consistent enough availability for my liking. If it sticks at 50 i'll still try to put time in. I'm definitely staying there for the full-ring games though.

I was just gonna say, I know you prefer full ring games, and lately I've noticed a serious increase in the FR availability. There's been like 2 5/10 games going every night. There were 2 10/20 games going earlier this morning even. Just ask Abba how soft those were, lmao. And there's like always a 3/6 FR game going. If you don't mind mixing limits, you should always be able to get some FR action there if you're 4-tabling or whatever.

been playing so rarely that i haven't really gone even back to 5/10, but with the increase in FR traffic, and decrease at WSEX, its a serious consideration. I know the 3/6 games are soft as hell, and the 5/10 is mostly the same players.

Honestly, man, you have to try hard to find a difficult game there under 10/20.

It's like 100% opposite of what it was 6 months ago.

May results, live +7K, online -400, not bad considering I had no real goal other to play when I had the time.

June goals,

Live, play my best game possible, play only when I'm awake enough to play well, won't set a $ number but it +one stack of high society would be nice.

Online, again my goal is just to play my A game and only when I have time and start tracking my play in more detail.

With that, in May, I'm going to bonus whore like crazy. Gonna hit up a bunch of the Cryptos, and then play out the stretch on AP.

Gave up on the bonus whoring after only clearing about $350 worth because I decided the games were too tough to bother with, and I figured I could make more money on AP, with their bonus/rb/arp program, as well as having everything go a little smoother based on the softness of the games, in comparaison. Green is complete, red is incomplete.

Here's my whoring plan:
  • $150 Betsafe @ 5x, ~1800 hands.
  • $100 Sun Poker @ 5x, ~1k hands.
  • $100 Interpoker @ 5x, ~1k hands.
  • $200 Poker Plex @ 5x, ~2k hands.
  • $200 Playboy Poker @ 5x, ~2k hands.
  • $300 Interpoker @ 5.66x, ~3500-4k hands.
  • $100 Betsafe @ 7.5x, ~1500 hands.
  • $250 Betsafe @ 8x, ~ 5k hands.

So that's my goal. Add into that 1 BB/100 winrate, and I'm looking for $3500+ over 20k+ hands.

I actually was able to run at 2.38 BB/100 for the month, which is amazing for me, but I played fewer than 11k hands. Details are below.

Hands and Results:
  • Total: 10,679 hands; $2,168.92; 2.38 BB/100

    By Limit:
  • 15/30*: 82 hands; $46.00; 1.87 BB/100
  • 10/20*: 147 hands; $568.00; 19.32 BB/100
  • 5/10: 400 hands; $440.50; 11.01 BB/100
  • 3/6: 6,051 hands; $1,178.61; 3.25 BB/100
  • 2/4: 3,999 hands; ($64.19); (0.40) BB/100

    By Network:
  • Cryptologic: 4,201 hands; $20.81; (0.16) BB/100
  • Absolute: 6,478 hands; $2,148.11; 3.66 BB/100

*note: all 15/30 hands, and some 10/20 hands were played on a stake, or partial stake, resulting in me giving $80 to my stakers.

Bonus:
  • Total: $720.00

    By Network:
  • Crypto: $350.00
  • Absolute: $370.00

Rakeback:
  • Total: $496.48

    By Site:
  • Betsafe (Crypto): $65.17
  • Interpoker (Crypto): $42.90
  • Sun Poker (Crypto): $39.88
  • Absolute: $348.53

ARP Value:
  • ~16,000 ARPs; ~$240.00*

*note: approximate; valued at 1.5c/pt (redeeming for cash at 200k pts at Elite status).

Grand Total:

May was my second best month so far this year, and I'm happy about that, but my volume has been simply pathetic. 11,000 hands in a month for someone who claims to be a "professional" is pretty sad. I actually only put in 39 hours and 16 minutes in at the tables. This means I made $86.49/hr overall, however, that ignores the fact that I put in countless hours studying the game, reading the forums, etc.

The one thing that I can say to semi-defend my lack of output, is that in May, instead of mindlessly pumping out hands, I think I played a lot more focused game, and concentrated on each hand a little more. I also used incredible game selection, which allowed me to take some shots at slightly higher levels, both staked and on my own.

I also played one tournament, a $50 buyin on AP yesterday, which I slept through the first 30 minutes, then went out shortly after that with AK vs 88 vs 97 all in preflop. AP paid for my entry though via the VIP program, so it doesn't figure into the numbers.

June Goals:

June is a bit interesting, as I'm going to be travelling a lot. I've got until June 8th to play some hands at home, but then I'm heading to Toronto and area for my sister's graduation, and I won't be home until June 13th. I should be able to get some hands in there, but I'm not counting on anything.

As soon as I get home from Toronto, I have enough time to get ready for Las Vegas, as I leave on the 15th, and I'm out there until July 2nd. I've got my own set of goals for when I'm down there, but it wouldn't suprise me if I do put in a few hours of online poker.

Anyways, because of all of this travelling, my goals will be somewhat small. I'd be happy with 5k-10k hands in depending on how much I can play when I'm on the road. Since that's such a small sample, it's tough to set a goal, but I'll say $2,000 of online profit as my goal.

The Las Vegas trip will be interesting. I'm hoping to make a bit of a run, but due to the fact that the sample will be too small to get past any sort of variance, my goal is just to come home with as much money as I left with. This just means making enough at the tables to cover food/partying and the condo.

My own personal non-poker goal, is to not play any pit games while I'm down there. I'll leave it open slightly to $10 paigow or whatever if I'm just playing for free drinks, but otherwise, no BJ, no table poker games, etc. This'll be a big test for me, and hopefully all goes well.

I'm also hoping, that if things go well, I can think about getting into one of the $1,500 WSOP events. Even if I go on a good run down there, it'll be a significant part of my bankroll, so I'm also looking into selling off pieces of myself up to 2/3rds of the buyin, at a 1 for 1 price, in any chunk. If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me.

Anyways, I hope everyone has a great month at the tables, whether it be online or at the WSOP or whatever.

I kinda like the trend at the end.

May was really good.

June, I don't know what to expect. I'll be at wsop for minimum two weeks, but most likely 3. I guess i'll be happy with a 5k profit this month. 2-5nl cash game..gogogo!

Isn't there like an automated 6max table? Mb I'll try one of those, especially if it's lhe.....

see ya in vegas

seems standard I guess. For Comparison I'm at 21/15.75/2.8+, at 1c/2c and 2c/5c

Maybe try and get more aggressive?

Didnt have much of a May goal except to play more. In the last week though I finally broke out of my slump and made about $600.

June Goals:

-Continue to play $4 180's until the BR is above 1k, and then i'll move up to the $10 ones.
-Get back to playing the 3R on Stars(i didnt play it at all this month, even though I profited well from it in previous months)
-Keep grinding $3 speed sng's on PartyPoker(BR there is only $80 atm, will move up to the $6 ones once I get a little more), so easy to cash in them lol
-Re-read HOH1 & 2 and finally get around to working through 3
-Profit goal: $1k

I think it's a realistic goal for myself, considering school is nearly done so I'll get a lot of playing in.

Ok, I love getting goals in writing, so here we go:

My May Goals:

1. Win (1) 180 man SNG (Came in 2nd twice in an $11)
2. Play Sunday Million at least once (Played it on the $1.5guar. day and did not cash)
3. Get Sharkscope ROI over 45% (End at 52%)
4. Final Table a tournament with over 1000 entrants (Did not do this)
5. Be Ranked in top 5000 of TLB (Finished 11,733)
6. Acheive Silver Star (Done)

Overall I only played 5500 hands in May, way less than I would have liekd, but I was very very busy. With my schedule opening up in June, I hope to play lots more.

June Goals

1. Win (1) 180 man SNG
2. Play Nightly 100k Twice

mikey, what's your name on AP? Just curious, since I don't play 10/20+.

Good stuff Zachariah. JUst remember every dollar put on a blackjack table is a dollar out of your roll. Think about how pretty that dollar will look at a 10/20 AP table.

$10 Paigow for drinks is fine though. Just be the dealer whenever you can and screw your buddies. and never play if not for purposes for getting shmammered.

Good luck getting Mikey's AP name. Took me months of detective work and torture to pry it out of him, and I'm sworn to secrecy now.

************

With respect to pit games, etc, the rules will be strict, and there will be lots of FCPers there to keep the enforced. Only playing for the purposes of drinking will be allowed, and only at minimum stakes.

I wish I was there right now though. sad.gif

torture eh? interesting.

where are you staying? (PM if you want). i wasn't planning on going out, but I'm going to be keeping my eyes open for discount plane fare, and I'd say there's a 50% chance or so I get the Vegas bug and just hop on a plane one day. I'd love to have a list of FCP'ers with carpeted floors.

Danny, if that is your real name.

Myself, Cobalt, Mikey, aim786 are all staying at a condo that Cobalt rented, which sleeps six. I'm sure you're more than welcome if you come out, and Marchant's rates are very fair, ie way less than a hotel.

I'm there from the 15th to the 2nd, aim from the 12th to the 26th, mikey is there earlier in the month, but I'm convincing him to stay longer, and Cobalt will be there from the 4th to the 30th, I think.

Get on down!

Also, you should come on AIM or unblock me or whatever, every once in a while, lol.

haha, thanks for the info. i haven't been on AIM in months, nor MSN, but if I get back on MSN i'll hunt you down. that sounds really damn tempting, all my friends are working, but man it would be sweet to pop down for a week or two.

edit - holy crap, just checked and airline flights are half of what i expected. looks like i could be down there and back for ~500 CDN.
Zach6668
Dan,

Also, I don't know where you're flying out of, but if you're near the USA, check out http://allegiantair.com/, I'm driving 3 hours, and flying out of Duluth, MN for $89 there and $159 back. I could have gotten them both for $89 if my cash had shown up early enough. I don't know where else they fly out of though, but I know they pretty much specialize in cheap Vegas flights from within the States.
Abbaddabba
Im going to be there between the 5th and the 13th.

My friend (mclesterol) and i are staying at the flamingo two to a room.

If you want to split it for a few nights (get a cot, or something), let me know.

K adding to my June goal to learn cash games and make $500 from them

Quick question, at say... 50NL, what kind of BB/100 hands should I be obtaining?
