I'm never folding this Top Pair here.
Villain raised preflop.
This makes it less likely that he holds a 3.
So the straight doesn't concern me much at all.
Sure, he could coincidently have a couple of spades.
But there is clearly not enough evidence of this to fold Top Pair.
My only thoughts are whether it is more profitable to bet for value, or to allow Villain a chance to bluff the river.
My decision comes down to whether or not he will call down with his overs (AK, etc).
And that determination relies on whether or not he could have put me on a missed draw.
The 4

hits most of the draws out there.
My flush draw got there.
My 87 straightened up.
My 74 got me 4th pair (which still beats his AK).
Because of this fact, I feel Villain will likely fold his AK to a bet.
Since it beats very little at that point.
So there is not much value in a bet.
Thus, I check the river.
Not out of fear or passivity.
But out of confidence and aggression.
Thinking that my hand is still ahead.
