I just downloaded the trial version of SnGWIZ and I'm trying to figure out the best way to take advantage of it during the trial period. I've uploaded all my hand histories and I've been playing around with it a bit, but it's a bit overwhelming. Any advice?

I'd never heard about it.
If it's just basically saying 'with this range of hand, push from this position' and 'with this hand, fold', I'm not sure it would be worth $99.
I dunno, I don't think I'd want a program telling me what to do. I'm very happy with my SNG ROI, but the hh feature may be interesting depending on how it analyzes them.
Let us know how you get on with it... I may download the trial version next time I go on a SNG barrage, just to see what it's like. I wouldn't be surprised if I've uninstalled the software within 10 minutes though, lol.
Who wrote the actual program, do you know?

Lots of people swear by it, saying it has greatly improved their shortstack play. It's a great program but I'm just trying to figure out the best way to use it. I'm not a numbers guy, so what I'm trying to figure out is how to translate what you can do with SnGWIZ into rules that can be applied to game situations.

oh sorry jm tell me how it goes it's just that I know sngwhiz as "sng powertools" so I had no idea what you were talking about. Yeah it supposedly rocks and I would get it if I ever moved up. I know a couple guys that swear by it so I def. know what you're talking about.

Well, hopefully one of those guys will come along soon and shed some light...
I have learned one thing about my game just from running some of my recent histories through the program: I don't take advantage of enough push opportunities when play is folded around to me in LP or the SB. So far it looks like I'm playing the early-middle position ones pretty well, but most of my mistakes seem to be from not pushing (even with crap) when I'm on the button or in the SB.

glad to hear it. although at the dollar level they will be calling your pushes with a6o, j10 soooooted, just ugly. but that's the right way to play good you want to fix your flaws in your game. if you ever wanna donk around in a dollar sng together, just holler. I've finally gotten stable on the 7's hope you will soon.
