River: (t9539) 7 (3 players, 1 all-in)

This is my fifth hand at the table so no reads yet. I felt that they were splitting the aces so I pushed. I guess I could have called and saw the ak flop and folded saving chips.

Na, calling here is bad, it's either a push, or a fold, and with no reads, I'm pretty sure it's a shove.

You can't call for half your stack, and fold an Axx flop when he's going to be c-betting JJ.

If you get it in 3 ways, and they both have AK, this is a very good situation for you, and you'll win the hand a ton of the time.

Also, by shoving, we potentially are getting it heads up vs the shortstack, who is in a lot more of a desperate situation that UTG+1, and could have a lot wider range.

You played it correctly IMO, like zach said the short stacks range in this spot with his M of around 8 you assume you are holding over him with QQ

UTG +1 has about 15% of his stack invested most players would lay down anything but AA,KK and AK (i'd lay down AK in this spot with 2 players raising my standard raise of 600)

You played a big pot with a big hand and got unlucky your actions were correct, I play it the same way every time

I can't ever see this being anything but a shove. You did goot.

Horrible!! You should have flopped a Q. smile.gif

Seriously, you played it fine. I would have done the same thing and then steamed cuz the Ace hit.
