this is a live heads up $100 freeze out i was playing with a buddy of mine. hes fairly aggressive but smart. Plus not too many physical tells and none i caught on this hand.

Hero checks, Villain bets 150, Hero raises to 450, Villain calls

Turn: 9d (worst card that i could have seen)

Hero checks, villain bets 600, Hero calls

River: 7d

Hero checks, Viilain bets 1500, Hero ?????

For some reason i really feel im beat here. Do i call or raise?

Its one thing to have a strong read on someone.

However, you are giving up so much value by not raising here.... you have the nut full house, and only quads and a straight flush have you beat.

He is going to call a raise with a straight, flush, trips, lower boats. You've shown so much weakness in this hand, he might even have nothing. Either way, you need to raise absent of the best read in the history of poker.

when i got the river i really did feel i was totaly beat. when he bet on the river i stood up and was like it came bad bad and i cant believe im just gunna call here. which is what i did i just called and he flipped up 10h 8d. then i showed him my hand and he went ballistic. saying i should have gone broke there, how could i not raise and such. i guess in the long run it was a very bad play to just call but i just knew i was beat.

Did he put the cookie to his ear this time?

i had to read this 3 times to get it. i have played with him alot, hes actually the one who taught me how to play. I keep trying to figure out what i saw in him that made me just call but i cant really figure it out. But he was right i should have gone broke on that hand.
