PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Second hand at table. First hand sb played a sb v bb hand fairly passively against me.

Preflop: Moneyball is SB with Q, Q.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button raises, Moneyball 3-bets, 1 fold, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Button calls.

Flop: (18 SB) 8, 9, 9 (5 players)
Moneyball bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, Button calls.

Turn: (11 BB) 2 (4 players)
Moneyball bets, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, Button calls.

River: (15 BB) K (4 players)
Moneyball checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, Button calls, Moneyball calls, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 folds, Button calls, Moneyball?

Should I check this river first off? Should I call the bet when the action is back to me?

Ewwwww... that's sickening.

I like the first call, pot is big enough, even to overcall, and we could easily be ahead here.

The repop is like a WTF type move... like how does he not bet that river with a hand that beats you? He can't possibly assume it'll be bet behind him, can he? I probably call out of pure confusion, although button calling before us makes it a fold, in theory, probably... I dunno. Ghey spot.

And the guy that bet the river ended up folding to the raise. Weirdest hand ever, Ill have to post results on this one later.

I have to call getting 21:1

Button might have KQ, AK
UTG could have 9

I mean who knows?

pots/hands like this, I just won't fold for 1 BB, call it a leak

This probably IS a leak, but I often call in these situations KNOWING I'm beat, because it's cheaper to pay and lose 99 times out of a 100 than it is to fold and go on tilt for about 3 weeks. I believe Smash- fucking prick- used to refer to this as reverse implied tilt odds. That's the only concept of his I've ever taken to heart. I'm willing to leak off a bet or two here and there if it means I won't start playing poorly until I'm broke.

I've shown a tendency to do so.

certainly not here http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...showtopic=99701

there is more that beats us in the other hand hand but is this hand that much more of a bet than the other?

wtf does "tendencey" to do so imply/mean

It's what I tend to do into multiway fields oop if I've been doing it so far.
Does it mean I do it >50% of the time? Not necessarily; but it was meant to imply I tend to do it more than I might recommend doing it in hindsight.
Although, here, it still seems plausible

You can't get all that implication from that post?

geezsh.
I'm hungry.
