Sage Francis' lyrics are so retarded. They rhyme great but rarely make any sense. And he's soooooo cocky. Ugh.

Anyone read his apology on the Cardplayer site? He can't be serious. This tournament was sooooo important to him that he decided to get drunk as **** in the middle of the final table? Please. One line of apology and then a whole page of excuses. Yeah, he's really taking responsibility here. He ought to be apologizing to the last two players that had to put up with his ********. This is just typical celebrity attitude - do whatever they feel like and then go groveling back to the public later. Does anyone really believe this was some kind of accident? Scotty, buddy, a man your age is well aware -

This is just one of the reasons why the poker world has completely blown it. Everything was in line, people all over the world were playing poker like never before and then what happened? Nothing. The people at the top of the poker world were all more concerned with making as much money as they could as fast as they could, instead of trying to cement poker's status as a legit and acceptable pastime. Now, as the ship keeps going down, these same people are still singing the same tune. In a few more years it's going to be like the poker boom never happened. And guess who won't care? Scott -
So I just put stars on my new laptop, and for some reason the real money tables aren't showing up. There's no tab to switch back and forth from play and real money, like there usually is. I can't find any reason why the real money tables would have disappeared since I just DL'ed the program and logged in with the same account I've always had. I'm sure there's a simple and obvious solution to this problem, but I don't know what it is and I'm mega annoyed. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know of a real time O8 odds calculator? It would be incredibly helpful, especially when multitabling. There's no way I could punch all that into some manual thing, like carplayer's calc. in time to use it. I'd like something free preferably, or at least really cheap. However, a lot of the hold'em calculators I've tried for free have been either really lousy and difficult or just haven't worked period. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, that seems logical. A very straightfoward approach of just capping it with solid hands seems to be working fine at these limits. I am thinking of moving up a notch soon, though, and I know as I do the field of players will thin out even more, making any leaks I have more prominent. 60%-75% pot bets seem relatively safe in the sense that the difference usually isn't enough to offer proper odds to anyone without a big draw, and those are almost always calling no matter what I do. At least in the sub $1 PL games. In the SNGs on stars, the turbos seem to promote more bad calls from most

Hey, I don't post much, or haven't in a while, but you guys seem to have some good O8 minds here and 2 + 2 is way too crowded. Anyway, let me say beforehand that I typically play lower limit shorthanded ring, and $3-$6 SNGs.I've noticed a bit of a tell in my betting patterns lately, mainly in value betting. It seems like 90% of my betting is pot capping on the flop and turn. At these points I'm usually dealing with pricing out the draws or attempting to get as much money in as possible in situations when I have the nuts w/redraws, etc... It seems like if I have a hand worth betting out or r

Hey, I ran a search on poker software through the board, but besides the pinned Poker Tracker thread I couldn't find much. I've been toying with the idea of purchasing an online stat program like Tracker, but was wondering if anyone knew of an adequete program, albeit not as good, in freeware. I'm also considering Poker Office, but I know those two have been discussed here ad nauseum, so I'm kind of fishing for any other alternatives, remote though they may be. I'd like to get a better idea of the scope of what's out there before I make my final decision. A couple months ago I'd probably h

So I'm in the middle of the $1000 freeroll a few minutes ago....and then the site disconnects me. I log back on, and the entire tournament has disappeared. I know I'm not over looking it, because there are about 6 tournaments on the whole friggin site. What is the deal with this place.....

a no limit hand i'd like your opinions on......

Actually, the first guy was right. He had AA. In retrospect, Akishore is right about the flush draw, I royally F'ed that up.He would have been totally priced in, if that was what he had. However, I felt certain that was not the case, and that he had only one pair. My biggest mistake was not reraising preflop. Even so, I don't see how I could'nt go broke in this situation either way. Any check on the river could only have been met with aggression from this man. I probably made it clear to him what I had early on, and he didnt want to take the lead from me. Live and learn. Alright great minds, give me your thoughts here. What do you think about this hand? Horrible play? Glorious play? Let me know what you think, and how you'd have played it.$2-$5 NLHE at the Horseshoe CasinoI'm at a 7 handed table with players ranging from medium aggresive to high aggresive. The two most aggressive players occupy the two seats to my left. I'm in middle position with about $300, and pick up K K .It's folded to me, and I decide to limp in, planning to reraise or not depending on the play of my opponents. The player to my immediate left folds, and the most aggressive playe
