  1. This is the last time I'm going to respond to you because honestly your posts have shown your inability to consistently and intelligently think and/or communicate your thoughts. You say I changed the parameters of the question, but if you take a closer look at how things transpired, then you should change your mind, and if not speaks volumes of your intelligence and overall comprehension skills, or lack thereof.Initially, I asked you to provide an example where a studio released two separate versions of the same movie. You came back and said what about Imax versions, then the Star Wars Reven
  2. I already said in my last post that the Star Wars franchise is a different story given the amount of fans it has.... extremely different than QB.How many movies are out there that have an Imax and non-Imax versions? Not very many relative to the number of movies released. The point you make about the number of Imaxs (very few) actually supports what I've been saying. Fewer Imaxs = fewer Imax versions to print and thus less costs of printing such versions than printing 500/1000/1500 of a second 35mm version. Fewer Imaxs mean that the existing Imax theaters will bring in the $$ for those tha
  3. Ok. You got me. You were able to find ONE movie that "parts of the film were edited out." Could your one example be any further from QB?... Star Wars is a huge franchise with a huge fan base where a different version for Imax could generate millions. Regardless, without seeing the Imax version, I highly doubt that Lucas changed the Imax version so much to anger the actors, etc on Sith, like the distributing studio did with QB. Releasing a DVD w/in weeks of releasing the movie in theaters is something completely different than what we've been talking about and doesn't make what you initiall
  4. I have heard of Imax, but.... the difference between an Imax and non-Imax version of the same movie is not the differences between the sundance version and wide distribution version of QB that Vince, E, Billy and the studio execs were talking about in last week's episode nor what (it seemed like) you were talking about in your post. Releasing an Imax and non-Imax version (or color and black and white version) of QB wouldn't have solved $hit because the main/only difference between an Imax version and non-Imax version is the technical aspects but NOT the CONTENT of the movie. So if you want t
  5. I've never heard of a studio releasing two separate versions of the same movies into theaters... costs more than just releasing one- two different prints- especially in conjunction with the logistical problem of asking each theater which version it wants. studios do release 2 spearate versions on dvd but usually only release the second version months after the initial dvd release to stir up interest in the movie again plus, the cost of printing a dvd is nothing compared to printing a copy for a theater. regardless, the execs/suits wanted to go w/the color version because it tested through th
  6. Agent Harris lets Tony know that high ranking members are seriously considering whacking one of T's (mafia) family members... Phil had a heart attack and Tony tries to make peace with him while visiting him in the hospital...Chris comes clean to Tony about sexing up Julia... Chris and Julia fall off the wagon and using drugs heavily... and the episode ends with a family gathering at the Soprano residence for Christmas (sans Meadow in CA) including AJ's new Poriqua girl and her kid. It's been about a month since I've seen the episode, but there it is...Also, just read that the last 8 episodes
  7. Me too.... counting down the days... HBO says that this season is going to only be 12 episodes. Good news is that HBO has already picked up season 4.Bad news is that season 4 is only gonna be 8 episodes.Worse news is that HBO plans to tie it to the final 8 episodes of the Sopranos-- bad news because who knows how long of a break Sopranos will take. Though hopefully this somewhat implies that Sopranos is on track with some kind of schedule and that production really will start next month as had been reported leading to an early 07 start.
  8. Not ashamed to admit it..... have watched a majority of 90210 episodes... read this in the LA times today FYI: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/...adlines-entnews
  9. Since being diagnosed with a form of alzheimers, I think Uncle June's character has been pretty consistent-- he goes in and out of stages of dimentia to being completely sane... though it's obviously getting worse and worse (i.e. more dimentia and less sanity)... when he speaks of things that make no sense, he could be talking about anything. I think that when he tells the orderly "i scratch your back you scratch mine," he was thinking clearly, but when he was talking to Bobby before that he wasn't all there-- something along the lines about how Bobby's dead wife Karen was doing (will have t
  10. Looks like watching season 3 will be better than first thought.... HBO confirmed yesterday that they will have a season 4 of Deadwood, though it's only gonna be 2, 2 hour episodes... better than nothing
  11. I agree that I can't see this happening... also, I highly doubt that Vito knows the plot of the final 8 episodes for two reasons: 1. he was killed off during this season and even if they have filmed some or all of the final 8 episoded, he's not involved it and thus wouldn't know. 2. I've read interviews with Chase and other principal cast where it's made very clear that the scripts and storylines are highly confidential-- I've never read or heard of a cast member, former or present, that has given away any specifics of upcoming episodes/seasons.
  12. I thought Phil coming out of the closet in that scene was very soprano-like and brilliant.... made me laugh at a time when we knew a very bloody scene was about to ensue. As far as the pending/current war between new york and new jersey families goes, if anyone is to be blamed, it's gotta be tony. Tony's lack of action against Vito triggered the two killings of made men and led the families to the brink of war--if not there already.... oh well, i guess something/someone had to trigger it as I agree that the season finale and the next 8 episodes next year will focus on the NY/NJ war that has
  13. I had never heard of her or seen any of her work... and before the nudity scene, the show did a good job of making her look very plain janeish... but she looking pretty fing good in that scene
  14. I get that... but the thing about Tony is that he always sees the big picture and that by pulling the plug on his support for the spec house, he's got to know that he's gonna have to deal w/$hit from Carm. Possibly, it was the lesser of two evils- have Carm acting pissy for a while and eventually get over not working on the spec house v. Carm working on the house and not being around to carry out her housewife duties, but the house will eventually be completed also. Also, by taking her spec house away, Tony will no longer have the benefit of Carm complying with the agreed upon don't ask don'
  15. I think, since season 2-3, we have known the reason for Tony's anger with Janice. If by breakthru you mean sharing the reasoning with Melfi, then I agree (not sure Tony shared w/Melfi back then).I am very surprised that Tony ended up hooking Janice up w/Johnnie Sack's house. Tony is always on alert for Janice's manipulative ways and hand out for free $hit. Possibly, he feels bad for Bobby getting beat down, possibly because of Janice's daughter/his niece. Whatever it was, there had to be another reason than him just being nice.I am also confused as to why Tony told Sil to forget about lean
