why are you "certain" he had big cards? Have you played with this person before? He only completed in the SB with an M of about 7 (if my math is correct), which is a bad play IMO, so who is to say that he isnt going to make another bad play when you raised it. You gave him the correct pot odds to go all-in there rather than to just call your raise. bad raise on your part IMO... He is my nephew. I play with him all the time. Loose, agressive, but also a bit gun shy. Not afraid to make plays at the pot. This really was not one of them, I dont think. As for giving him pot odds by raising.

Looks like I still have lots to learn from reading Daniel's post, but personally I raise the flop and fold to a reraise. If this guy is willing to three bet pre flop and on the flop he is SCREAMING at you that he has a hand. Fold on the flop to a 3 bet.
