Ok, here is the rest of the action of that hand.I was going to C/R the preflop raiser to $100 until the SB flatcalled his $40 bet. After that I decided to just get it all in the middle and shoved for about $155 more.The UTG raiser thought about it for 2-3 minutes before folding and saying that he was making a big laydown. Yes, That had been my plan when I saw the flop. I was going to C/R any continuation bet from the preflop raiser. The $40 flat call from the small blind was a bit surprising, but didn't impact my plan that much really although I thought it over for a bit when my turn came to act.I just wanted some thoughts from you guys who actually play no limit regularly before I reveal the rest of the action that hand.

Thanks for posting your trip report, I always enjoy reading about casino trips to various places.My condolences about your Blackjack loss, but you do have a very cool fiancee so don't sweat the small bankroll hit.I wish my girlfriend enjoyed poker as much as yours apparently does, when me and my gf hit the casinos she just goes and plays the slots while I am at the poker tables.I learned awhile back to stay away from the table games at the casinos if I wanted up leave the place up in the long run.

I really like the idea of the 30/30/30 rule. I rarely post here, but I do browse the forums quite often and this rule may clean up the mess a bit.

When I was down to the casino in Halifax the last time (July 1st weekend), they had several 5-10 tables, and also two 10-20 tables open from 2:00pm until 6:45 am. They began taking sign ups for table seats beginning at 1:00pm, the 5-10 game was extremely soft, many people chasing with marginal draws. The 10-20 game was a little tighter, it seemed to me that it was mostly regulars that played there every day judging from how well they knew each other.Good luck at the tables.
