Your cards always act as the betting line regardless as to whether or not there is a line on the table. You can do whatever you want with your chips behind your cards. You can count a big raise, push it up to your cards, then go back for more, and then decide to call or even fold. It is annoying and wastes time, but it is not illegal. What you are doing is fine, but I don't think it is a good way to gain info. You are simply getting someone's reaction by announcing a raise. You should ask them if they like spaghetti. Now that gets information!

Bellagio doesn't track your play. They will give you the poker comp rate if you call the poker room directly. You are "supposed" to play 6hrs per room, but I have stayed at Bellagio 4 times using the poker comp rate and have never been tracked or rated. So don't worry about planning your trip around time required in the poker room.Remember, always ask for buffet comps. Bellagio buffet is yum-yum.

1-2 NL $100 max buy-in $5 per half hour seating fee2-5 NL $500 max buy-in $6 per half hour seating fee5-5 NL5-10 NLHigher games upon request. The 4 listed are usually always running though. Since the new room has been added there is barely any wait to be seated. No food at the tables any more either.

Bellagio has comp rate for poker r00m. $125 week nights and $199 weekends. We also got upgraded to a Junior Suite for no additional charge since it was available. Call poker room to get comp rate. Just got back yesterday and had this rate. You technically have to play 3 hrs per day, but they don't track you.

what was your worst poker-related christmas gift?
Crg35 replied to rok300's topic in General Poker Forum
My wife beats you all....As we both play poker 90% of our gifts were poker related. Some pretty good, many quite awful, but she got poker pot holders and oven mitts. Yes, you heard me correctly. -
I would definitely call my wife a serious poker player. She plays live at least once per week and crushes the 4-8 tables. I mean consistently crushes this game. It makes me jealous. She also plays online a bit. She always seeks out knowledge to improve her game as well. Could use work on NL and is prone to tilt, but I do fear her limit play. Our last trip to Vegas (early Oct.) she logged 50+ hrs at the tables in 5 days and we are heading back in Feb for our 3rd poker trip to Vegas in 12 months funded mostly by winnings (mostly hers). And by the way, women who wear low cut shirts and play

Anywhere I have ever played has the rule that verbal bets are binding. Saying $275 makes the total bet $275. A raise of $160.

2nd vegas trip this year, tournaments to try?
Crg35 replied to compuease's topic in General Poker Forum
Binions has a good tournament with a lot of regulars. $60 for $1k in chips. $10 for $500 addon. 1 time $40 rebuy. About 150 players.Try Alladin, and MGM they have good tournies too. All other cheap tournies are an all in fest after a few rounds. -

Between myself and my wife we logged over 100 hrs of live cash game play in five days in Vegas. On the flight home we played heads up for snacks. The day after we got home we hosted a home game. We have a friend's home game tonight and this weekend we are heading to the casino for more poker. Is that a lot?

I met Scotty Nguyen at Bellagio and talked to him for about 15 minutes. He gave me the best poker advice I have ever gotten. He said "Poker is only about fun, baby. I am having fun tonight and I am losing. If you can't have fun you shouldn't play."That sums up everything.

If on the other hand you are their to win money Oh, I was there to win money, but, well, you know...ELKANG...Ask about the Bellagio poker comps. They are giving out great room rates ($100 - $125 week nights) if you gaurantee time in the poker room.
