You can either report it as gambling income, or as income from a business and then file as a self-employed gambler. If you file it as gambling income you have to show all of your wins as income, and then do an itemized deduction to minus off the losses. This is easier to file, but you have to show a large Gross Income, which might knock you out of some credits and deductions, and make your income higher for some state taxes. If you file as a self employed business you can write off your income and losses on the same form, and have more room to write off other things pertaining to gambling (tr

I'ld be up for it. Let me know the times and location.

It depends on how you want to handle it. If you consider it as gambling income you would have $40,000 in income - $30,000 in deductions - $3,100 personal exemption = $6900 in taxable income. This would put you in the 10% tax bracket, so you'll owe $690 in taxes. This doesn't include any educational expenses you might be able to deduct, and if someone else is claiming you as a dependant. This doesn't include any state taxes either. You might lose your education deductions because you now have a high adgusted gross income. This could work out nice though because you can show an income fo

Here are my suggestions on what they should include in the fcp charter member registration packet... - A tinfoil hat autographed by Bill Fillmaff - A shot of penicillin for Ron Mexico

The Flamingo can be cheap, has an awesome pool, and some of the renovated rooms are nice, but it is a boring casino and I've had really bad service there.I have stayed a couple of times at the Monte Carlo and they have nice rooms, a great location, and it's a reasonable price. Miss Idaho is right about Bally's, great rooms, good service, and a good location. You'll end up somewhere else to hang out though. If you're looking for ultra cheap with a good location the Boardwalk would work. I stayed there during a bachelor party and it was clean and the casino offers cheap blackjack. I would s

El Cortex is so horrible we go every year. Last year I played craps and 2 people were on oxygen, 3 were in wheelchairs, and I think there might have been about 20 teeth collectively at the table. Good times. -

Simmons take on Mariah Carey is right on. I have tried the line "Mariah Carey is the most beautiful woman on the planet" out loud about 12 times and every girl I try it on gets worked up and starts spouting out venom. Pure genious. -
Isn't Larry the one who asks for a kosher meal on the flight?

My buddy used to work at a strip club in Tampa and he had quite a few stories about the wrestlers. He said that he caught a BIG name wrestler doing coke off of a hoookers @ss in the bathroom stall.

Doesn't the new season of the Ultimate Fighter start on Monday? I need to get home and set my Tivo to Record All. Christian is finally getting a good push with the company. Hopefully they will give him a good title run soon.

Jake the Snake is my all-time favorite wrestler. When Roddy Piper was in his prime he was pretty good too.I still miss Jericho when he was in WCW and he had his own personal security. Those old cruiserweight matches in WCW with Rey, Eddie, Malenko, Jericho, Juvy, psichosis, Helms, and the others were awesome. I think nowadays Christian is my favorite.

Congrats on your big day! I got married recently and I can only hope that you are able to get through all of the stress to enjoy the day.

I'm off to get my stomache stapled.

Grand Rapids lies close to Lake Michigan. In the winter the moisture will build up over the lake and then dump snow inland. in the summer the moisture will build up and keep it very humid inland. Since Grand Rapids is 30 minutes inland it will keep the moisture, but doesn't get the lake to keep it cool like some of the cities on the shoreline. It's not New Orleans or Houston, but it can get in the 90's with 85% humidity in the summer.

I would imagine it would be much easier to create a poker room through an established company than from scratch. The databases, customer support, interfaces, affiliates, hardware, security, quality assurance, marketing, human resources, and accounting are all issues off the top of my head that would be hard to start from scratch. It would be much easier to have an established third party supply the backbone, and give Daniel the opportunity to pursue other interests.
