  1. Actually its $3,000 per transaction or any series of transactions in one day totaling $10,000 that is supposed to be reported. I've always taken $2,500 at a time by check and then cashed the checks on a rotating basis with 6 different banks.
  2. Technically the law goes into effect when its signed, but I wouldn't worry about getting your money back from any major site. The longer you go into the 270 day period however, the more regulations and restrictions you may encounter. My concern is cashing out before the banks are provided any type of those regulations or restrictions, whatever they may be.
  3. They're both realistic, and what you would expect from any supposedly hot female celebrity. What you see in a photo shoot is nothing like what you see when they're at home and out of the spotlight, or even in the poker room. Or what they look like when you wake up next to them. Of course I don't think any of us needs to worry about that happening anytime soon. With that in mind, I'd rather look at the airbrush pics anyday.
  4. It helps to have some good bills. I used to have a $1 with 7 dueces on it and another one with six 0's. Certainly +ev in short handed games.......
  5. Playing better on the back nine is not uncommon at all, and finding a cure for that situation isn't really a problem. The question is, would shaving 6 or 7 strokes off the total score help monetarily? In theory it shouldn't, because with the better score, the less strokes you will get on subsequent rounds. In addition, after having a less than stellar front nine, it opens up the possibilities for betting adjustments on the back nine that may not fully take into consideration the fact that your score will usually be significantly better.Of course everyone always wants to play better, so I sa
  6. I think you have to play this hand and the last thing I would be worried about is someone re-potting it. I don't agree with the UTG's play here btw, regardless of what he is holding. I tend to side with Lyle Berman and never raise early in this game with anything. But if you put the UTG raiser on AA or at least A2, and you are sitting here with AA, exactly whats left in the deck for someone else to raise with that could scare you away?I probably just call the raise here. This is a hand I don't mind seeing a flop with even if its multiway. I'm thinking there's only one A left out there at
  7. Micro-limits? I call a preflop raise with this hand in any position all day long. I bet the flop and reraise if raised. I bet the turn and call if raised. I check-call the river if the low comes in, I check-raise the river if the flush and low comes in. Anything more passive than that and I hope to see you at the tables. And you know what the best possible outcome is? The guy has 10-10-A-2. Not likely, but if so, you get made as a maniac and you will like the action you get for the rest of your session. If you've been at the table long enough to have a read on the play of these guys, th
  8. You definately have to adjust to the circumstances at the table and limit you are playing at. The play at many of the PLO8 lower buy-in tables ($25-$50) warrants seeing the flop with any 4 cards. Almost. Thats a bit of a stretch, but the thing is, you get paid off so well when you make your hand, whether its high, low, or both, its worth 25 or 50 cents to see a flop. KK62 is a worthless hand to me, but at those limits I will play it all day long. Just last night I played something even worse. QQ75 nonsuited, I limped on the button. Flop was QQ3. Final board was QQ349. 4 players were
  9. If you decide to play the hand in the first place then I think you have to bet the pot after hitting top and bottom pair on this flop. You are up against two players like yourself that are not in great chip position and can't really be gambling with marginal hands. So I think you have to take a stab at it. You spent the money anyway but only after announcing on the flop that you didn't care for what fell. The money would have been better spent on the flop in my opinion. If you get called check it down and fold to any bets. Later in the tournament I would have strongly considered raising
  10. I liked the reference to an honor system, and thats basically what the tax deal boils down to. If you make money playing online poker and decide not to report it, there will be no problem unless you are audited. Of course its possible for there to not be a problem even if you are audited. More on that later. You are of course required to pay taxes on your winnings. And its a session by session deal. Technically you are supposed to keep track of each session, recording either a win or a loss each time you play. Thats the ideal IRS situation anyway. In reality, I'm not sure anything but th
  11. He called a re-raise and the flop bet, so you have to give him credit for something. With an A on the board I would have taken my free card on the river. Its really difficult to tell what to do in the small stakes games, they will call and bet with anything and or nothing. But thats the good part. Wait until you know you have the best hand and make them pay. You get paid off so well when you have the best hand it makes it easier to slow down on the ones where you're not sure. You may have the best hand, but you can't know that here. Again, wait until you do to bet the turn. He could ha
  12. Omaha 8/B or Omaha Pot Limit is #1 in my book, but there's often not a lot of action going on, in which case NLHE cash games is the way to go.
  13. In terms of buy-ins, playing 3 tables, I would say 1/2 buy-in per table would be a decent estimate for a good player per session. (approximately 4 hours) So playing .50 / 1.00 at 3 tables = $150.00 total profit per session. Do that for 6 months and you're a good player. If you can do better than that over 6 months you need to move up a level. 10-12 buy-in days are rare, but they happen. My best at any one NL table?.25 / .50 - $553.50 / 1.00 - $7011.00 / 2.00 - $12202.00 / 4.00 - $1225Thats just the highest total at any one table. As for most buy-ins in a day total, I really don't know.
  14. How should the field be determined? Thats easy. Who ever puts up the prize money, picks who they like to play in the event. Sounds fair to me.
