  1. valid? what does it take for the champion to be valid?
  2. if any of you find this book to be full of too much propaganda or right-wing fluff ... then i highly suggest "traveling mercies" by anne lamott. the book is about her life and journey as an atheist. very compelling read and it isnt soft nor a mother-in-law read. she has no problem saying **** and telling you how it is.
  3. use SNG's to give you enough cashflow to play $50+ MTT's. Easily done once you get the hang of it.
  4. Absolutely no way he lays down 10-10 in that spot. I first saw the episode when i was on the treadmill at the gym and I had it taping at home. As soon as I got home I watched the episode again because I thought ESPN had done something too. I don't see any pro mucking 10-10 with those odds on the turn.
  5. The problem with online poker and tilting is that you can possibly be playing 4 tables at once when you tilt multiplying the problem. Also, if you are on tilt in a casino it takes more time to get involved in another game then a simple click of the mouse. You may have a 10 minute break and be able to get a drink, talk on the cell, etc. before playing.
  6. Depends on your hourly goal. If the 7 games took 7 hours of your time (roughly 1 hour per game, 1 game at a time). 37 divided up in 7 hours is about 5 dollars an hour. However if you are playing 4 tourneys simultaneously you are averaging about 18 an hour, which is nice. Depends on how serious you are and what you are wanting $/per hour.
  7. I have found Saturdays to be a great day to capitalize on casual players. I am in the PT time zone and the best money is to be amde between 4 PT and 11 PT.
  8. Pro's bankrolls come more from cash games then tourneys. So to think that Daniel couldn't be worth $15M because you cant list enough tourneys he has won is ridiculous.
  9. I only play at pokerroom and have found that the SNG tourneys are easier to beat. A lot of new players and high school kids are interested in the NL but can't afford to play 1-2 NL ring, so they move to these ring games where they only risk 5+ per hour. The $5-10 SNGS are full of weak players and if you are playing 4 tables at once you can average over $20 profit.
  10. Pokerroom.com is starting the qualifying for a 1000 buy in MTT. You get 10,000 in chips and the blinds start at 10-20 i believe. SHould be a great event.
  11. The sooner the game is over, the sooner they can start a new game and collect 10 more rakes (or whatever the +n is called when you buy in to a tourney). That is incorrect. SNG's start as soon as the open SNG's fill up. It has nothing to do with when games are ending.
  12. Hey I play @ pokerroom and am very satisfied
  13. When people tell stories of going from 200 to 850 in a day then losing it all by nightfall I wonder if they should consider themselves a gambling addict. I know that label is highly unpopular in the poker world right now, but still should not be ignored.
  14. I think managing BR is easier if you stick within your game. What I mean is, players too often move up limits too quick and play games they are unfamiliar with. I play 10 SNG's for about 20 hours a week. I am able to make money doing this, but a couple months ago I started playing in MTT's. I have little experience playing in multi's and my bankroll began to shrink. Also, I have found my style of play is suited well for 10 SNG's. I find it much more difficult to play 5 SNG's because my style of play does not fit well with the type of players who are found at those tables. I think Gus and Dan
  15. I play at pokerroom.com and I think 50-75 dollars is an okay starting amount. If you are an experienced live player, it is plenty! Start at the 5 dollar singles and work your way up. Top 3 out of 10 place in the money so that should be very obainable for an experienced player
