As far as Vegas rooms goMGM is my favorite just because of its location with in the casino. Poker players seem to have their own little world.I think the Wynn and the Bellagio are a wash for second best on the strip. No one else even comes close. For my money (and call me a Jersey guy)The Borgata still has the best Poker room in the nation. Between the computerized board, good dealers, and amazing waitstaff (who doesn't love a borgata babe). I'll play there anyday of the week. Foxwoods is also nice due to shear size. Its no frills though.

I didn't think Party Poker allowed cash back out to firepay, I always had to have them send a check. Every other site I've used UB, FT, and Doyle's room took 1 - 4 days to cash out on firepay.

When playing home games and everyone had a drink or two the best game for gambling is GUTS.Also, we play a progressive stud game where you need the low spade in the hole and the best hand to win the pot. If someone beats you in one way or the other the pot stays and builds on the next hand. It gets really intresting when someone has a Quad 3's with a 3 of spades in the hole only to have some guy with a 2 in the hole slow roll him. Also when someone wins the whole think with like a pair of 6's Ace in the hole... man does the table get pissed. everyone looks back at thier cards to see if the

I have had a similar experience. I was at Harrah's in AC back when they had that junkie 5 table poker room. (I haven't been there in a long time but I imagine since they are having tournaments they expanded it). I was playing in a 2/4 limit game which was actually about to break cause their was 5 people left and 3 of them all friends were about to leave. Two of them decided they wanted to go all-in in this LIMIT game. And announce to the table. I mean it had the decorum of a normal limit hand... everyone folded to them and they without looking raised and reraised 3 times before the deal -
The one's with the 'o' marked after the amount is people eliminated and were paid that much in actual cash. If you were being sarcastic I'm sorry. But, I thought this could clearify things a bit to anyone interested.

wpt, brunson, and $700 million dollars
I like Poker replied to I like Poker's topic in General Poker Forum
Clearly, it was a typo. The point is that the NHL is an established (if not poorly run) sports league. And the WPT is new and only boast 1 tv contract. -
I know you all must have heard by now of Doyle (and backers) $700 million dollar bid to purchase the WPT. On friday it sent the stock soaring as the bid for more then twice the stocks value. Today, the bid seems wishy-washy at best.I was wondering everyones opinion on this.my initial reaction was.1) 700 million is way overpriced, I mean there was an offer to by the whole NHL for something like 1.2 million2) who are these backers? Sure Doyle has a fortune but I can't imagine him being worth more then 20 to 50 million. 3) And the age old ... how can poker maintain its current popularity and
