  1. There may have been a deal, but I think both guys were playing their best on the final hand. If you're Dannenman, are you really expecting Hachem to play 7-3 for a raise? Small raise, final table, etc...I don't care. If I'm holding 7-3 and there is a raise in front of me, then I fold. I think Dannenman thought his Ace was good, and he was probably certain Hachem wasn't holding 7-3. Also, 12 hours might not seem to bad, but do that continuously over a week. Then add in the TV camera's, makeup crew, lights, crowd, etc and it could be mentally draining. None of us have ever been in that si
  2. Just my 2 cents, but I thought ESPN has done a decent job of their coverage of the main event. We've seen quality poker aw well as bad beats, and a lot of the more "unknown" player's personalities. It almost excuses the fact that it took them 4 months to produce.
  3. I was waiting for someone to go there. But I think the different between Phil and Antonio is Phil is a showman and realizes he can make millions by playing to the cameras. Whereas Antonio is legitimately that full of himself.
  4. I loved that interview... I actually feel blessed that I watched that. Phil is great for poker. He's a personality and he a great player. My favorite part about Phil is after he loses a pot he always tells himself how/why he lost the hand (and he's usually right). He makes for great TV if nothing else.
  5. Richard Belski is the man. The dude's job is to wander around the WSOP and interview the biggest names in poker. Then once a week he hands Mike Madasow the mic, and lets him talk for a while. And now he has a pretty good looking dealer all over him. It's good work if you can get it.
  6. Thanks for the feedback. Atleast I can stop second-guessing myself. I did go all in and the little called. I turned over the 9's and he had Jacks. Flop brought a Jack, Turn was a 9, and river was blank. So I guess I have to chalk it up to "That's Poker".
  7. Yes, I know the structure is a little odd. Basically we play dealers-choice limit games for 3 hours or so. Then we start NLHE and keep the game moving because we all have work the next day. Usually the NL lasts 2 hours or so. So that's why it's not that deep of a game.Edit: Opening Blinds are 1-2
  8. I was at my weekly home game and the following hand came up. I'm not sure if I played it right, but I'd like everyone's opinion.7 players and we all start with 100 chips. I'm on the button with about 85 chips) and everyone folds to me. I look down at the black nines and I raise to 10 (mostly thinking I could pick up the blinds). The Little Blind (who is generally aggressive) raises to 35. Big Blind quickly folds and it's back to me. What should I have done?P.S. And yes I'm aware this was Hellmuth's winning hand against Chan.Edit: Blinds were 2-4
  9. although you are correct, I would let it go. You don't want to become "that guy" at the table. Kindof like walking around with a bullseye on your back.
  10. Coming from a NJ native; it probably isn't worth the gamble to try to play in AC if you are under 21. I've never been carded at the tables or cashing out, but if you are walking around in the casino and you don't look 25 they will stop you and ask for your ID. It use to happen to us all the time in college, sometimes more that once time a night. As far as where to spend the 4th of July, AC is fine, NYC is really cool but very croweded, and DC has pretty good fireworks and tons of places to go.
