I play in a home tourney every 2 weeks. Average is about 22-28 people playing starting with 4000 in chips. Blinds increasing every 30 mins.25/5050/10075/150 <-- Optional100/200150/300<-- Optional200/400250/500300/600400/800 <--Optional500/1000600/1200800/1600 <--Optional1000/20001500/30002000/40004000/8000We occasionaly had problems with the tourney running upwards of 8 hours, so on large fields we knock out some or all of the "Optional" blinds. After the entire table folded around the small blind pushed all in for about $600. Greg Raymer, in the big blind, announced, "I call." The dealer however did not hear Raymer and mucked his hand. Raymer and the rest of the table alerted the dealer. Raymer's cards were retrieved from the muck and the hand was played. The small blind showed A-7, while Raymer held Q-J. The flop was no help for either player, but the turn and river were both queens which gave Raymer the victory and eliminated the small blind.
